TIIGM Chapter 6: Thank You, Sir

The floor was so cold, and Little Dummy's tears wouldn't stop falling.
He had finished reading the document. The tall Omega had taken it back, wearing a mocking expression, his eyes filled with nothing but contempt.
Little Dummy felt utterly humiliated.
Suddenly, someone draped a coat over him. He looked up and saw his husband’s cold face.
Oh, wait.
He couldn't call him "husband" anymore.
He had no husband. No family.
Little Dummy lowered his head, using his chubby little hands to wipe his face messily.
Little Dummy wouldn’t cry.
Alpha crouched down and finally noticed the wound on Little Dummy’s hand.
"Who did this?" Alpha’s voice could freeze someone to death as he held Little Dummy’s injured hand, his grip trembling.
Sheng Zhi looked up at the two uninvited "guests," his eyes burning with unrestrained fury. From the moment he learned that Madam Sheng had arrived, an ominous feeling had settled in his heart.
Madam Sheng was his mother in a biological sense, but their relationship was distant at best.
She came from an esteemed family and had a perfectionist’s intolerance for imperfection. From a young age, she had controlled every aspect of Sheng Zhi’s life.
His daily routine, his education—everything was dictated by her.
She said watching cartoons was a waste of time.
So, Sheng Zhi had no childhood and never saw a single cartoon.
After reaching adulthood, he never returned to the Sheng family. He thought that distance would be best for everyone. But why did she have to interfere in his life, meddle in his marriage, and even hurt Little Dummy?!
How dare they?!
"Hiss—" Little Dummy's small voice pulled Alpha back to reality.
"Does it hurt?" Alpha felt his hands shaking. What a stupid question—such a long cut, of course it hurt!
"We're going to the hospital." Alpha hurriedly scooped Little Dummy into his arms and dashed out before he could even react.
After leaving the hospital.
Little Dummy’s hand was wrapped up like a little dumpling. He sat obediently in the corner, waiting for the assistant to bring the car around.
"Still hurts?" Alpha couldn’t help but pull the little Omega close, seeing his face scrunched up in discomfort.
"No, no, it doesn’t hurt, M—" Whoa, that was close! Little Dummy quickly corrected himself: "Sir."
He drooped his head, looking like a wilted eggplant. "Sir, I… I’m sorry."
Sorry.
Today, he finally realized he had only been sent here to repay a debt. He wasn’t supposed to ask Alpha to hold his hand, take walks with him, or sleep beside him.
"But, Sir… Can you… Can you not abandon me?" Little Dummy’s nose tingled.
Without Alpha, no one would buy him flowers anymore.
Actually, he was really scared of being left behind.
"What are you thinking about?" Alpha sighed. He suddenly had the urge to hug the little fool curled up in a ball—and he did.
Omega was really small. When Alpha held him tightly in his arms, the little fool blinked blankly.
Alpha carried him all the way.
Neither of them spoke. Omega was very quiet, curled up in Alpha’s embrace, and before he knew it, he had fallen asleep.
Alpha’s gaze landed on the little fool’s face. The little fool had cried so sadly earlier, and there were still traces of tears at the corners of his eyes.
Even when bullied, he wouldn’t complain. He even said, “It doesn’t hurt.”
Even though the wound was so long. Even when applying medicine, he would only secretly wipe away his tears.
So stupid.
Not crying out in pain when injured—he just didn’t want to be abandoned.
Alpha decided to grant the little fool’s request.
Alpha realized that the little fool had changed.
The most obvious thing was that, after that day, the little fool never clung to him and called him “hubby” anymore.
The little fool called him: “Sir.”
Polite, proper, cautious—completely distant.
Sheng Zhi: Don’t ask. If you ask, I’m panicking.
Does a domineering CEO know how to comfort people?
Sheng Zhi: Of course not.
Then, the cold and ruthless CEO expressionlessly opened his phone.
“What to do when an Omega is angry?”
“100 Ways to Comfort Your Adorable Omega”
“What to Do When an Omega Is Mad!”
“100 Classic Quotes to Soothe Your Wife!”
The cold-hearted CEO lightly clicked into the browsing page.
“Quote 1: Baby, not seeing your messages, not hearing your voice—this silence makes my heart weep. I cannot be without you, for you are a part of me!”
“Quote 2: I know there are too many things I don’t understand. I know I often make you worry. I know I often make you angry. I just want to say, I long for your understanding and care.”
“Quote 3: Some say time is a knife that cuts through everything, even love. I say time is a filter that washes away all flaws, leaving only my longing for you. Please forgive me, okay?”
The CEO: ……
In the end, the CEO’s gaze landed on that pile of ceramic bunnies.
The next morning, just as the little fool got up, he heard a series of urgent coughs coming from the study.
Huh? How did Alpha get sick? His voice sounded so nasal.
“Si—Sir?” The little fool couldn’t help himself. He hurriedly poured a cup of hot tea, carefully poked his head around the door, and knocked on the study.
“Cough, cough, cough—” Alpha really felt dizzy and weak. He had stayed up all night fixing that ceramic doll—acid cleaner, alkaline cleaning solution, glue, sanding… Alpha had pulled an all-nighter, only resting for a short while at 5 AM.
“Mm.” Alpha sat at his desk, appearing nonchalant as he tapped on the tabletop. “Just leave it there.”
If only his tapping hadn’t landed right next to the ceramic bunny.
“Huh?” The little fool’s eyes widened in disbelief.
“What do you think?”
Alpha looked at Omega. “I fixed it.”
“Thank you, Sir!” The little fool’s eyes finally lit up.
Alpha: ???
Why was he still calling him Sir?!
