TIIGM Chapter 5: Just a Political Marriage

His husband's birthday was coming up soon!

The little fool had been thinking hard for a long time—what should he give as a present? He didn’t own many things, and no matter how much he thought about it, he couldn’t come up with a good idea.

Then, inspiration struck while he was looking at the decorations in their home. Under the TV stand sat a round and chubby rabbit figurine, designed in a cute, exaggerated style. Alpha had once stared at it for a long time.

"Hubby?" The little fool had thought that maybe his husband didn’t like it.

"What is this?" Alpha frowned at the odd little rabbit that didn’t match the rest of the decor.

"Huh?" The little fool was confused—wasn’t it just a little rabbit? It was from a very famous childhood cartoon!

"It’s the little rabbit from Little Rabbit’s Adventure," the little fool explained excitedly, clenching his fists and making a charging motion. "The super bunny that saved the world at the end!"

"Hubby? Haven’t you seen it?" Seeing the confusion still on Alpha’s face, the little fool hesitantly reached out and poked Alpha’s arm with two fingers.

"Ahem," Alpha cleared his throat, looking away. "I… didn’t watch much of these."

It wasn’t that he watched a little—he had basically never watched any at all. As the eldest son of the Sheng family, Alpha had undergone rigorous training from a young age, leaving him little time for entertainment.

While other kids were still babbling at cartoons, little Sheng Zhi had already been sitting upright, playing the piano.

As Alpha was lost in thought, he didn’t notice the little fool sneaking out.

When the little fool came back, panting and carrying a huge pile of DVDs, Alpha finally snapped out of his thoughts.

"Good thing I brought these with me!" The little fool had dug them out from somewhere, his little face smudged with dust. But he was grinning happily, patting his chest with pride.

"These are my most treasured collection!"

He was even willing to give his treasured collection to his husband!

That night, the little fool watched cartoons with his husband. Alpha sat on the couch, the glow of the screen flickering across his face.

He slept soundly that night, even with a small smile on his lips.

The little fool knelt on the couch and gently wrapped his arms around Alpha.

"Hubby, have sweet dreams."

Back to the present.

Would his husband like it? The little fool looked at the ceramic rabbit slowly taking shape in his hands, happily shaking his head. He had been working on this for so long—ever since he signed up for pottery classes, he had made exactly 103 rabbits!

He was going to pick out the best-looking one to give to his husband!

The little fool held the rabbit carefully as he returned home. But as soon as he pushed open the door, he saw a woman sitting inside the house—with a very beautiful Omega standing beside her.

Little Dummy stepped out and looked at the door.

Huh? He didn’t go to the wrong house, did he?

Little Dummy rubbed his eyes in confusion, making sure once again that there were indeed two people in the house.

"Who are you?" Little Dummy carefully held the porcelain rabbit in his hands and smiled foolishly at the visitors.

Are they my husband's family? Little Dummy glanced at the woman who bore some resemblance to his husband and wondered.

"Sheng Zhi is my son," the woman spoke slowly, trying to assert dominance. She had long heard that her son had brought someone home and was supposedly spoiling them rotten. Today, she wanted to see what kind of extraordinary Omega had captivated her son.

This is it?

"Mom, hello, Mom." Little Dummy bowed respectfully.

The elderly woman: ……

The elderly woman suddenly answered a phone call. Little Dummy thought he heard his husband’s voice. Shortly after, the elderly woman walked out.

Now, only Little Dummy and the very beautiful Omega remained in the living room.

"Hello!" Little Dummy greeted warmly, extending a hand. Since his husband wasn’t here, he had to entertain the guests properly.

Placing the little rabbit on the coffee table, Little Dummy turned to prepare some fruit.

"Do you… do you want something to drink? We have orange juice, cola, milk…"

Little Dummy considered himself smart. That must have been his husband's mother just now, which meant this Omega must also be someone his husband knew. He secretly made up his mind—he must make a good impression!

Little Dummy decided to bring out the drinks and candies that his husband had bought for him.

"Home?" Unexpectedly, the Omega frowned in disdain.

"What kind of stray cat or dog are you?"

"Have you had a wedding? Has Sheng Zhi taken you to register your marriage?"

"You were merely sent here to repay a debt, and you call that a 'marriage alliance'?" The Omega tossed a document at Little Dummy.

It was the document showing that his father had given him away to the Alpha.

"That position belongs to me," the Omega declared, picking up a framed photo of Sheng Zhi and pointing at the empty space beside him.

Repayment?

Marriage alliance?

Not family?

Little Dummy’s mind buzzed.

No… that’s not true.

The porcelain rabbit fell to the ground, shattering into pieces before Little Dummy could stop it. A sharp fragment rebounded, slicing a long wound on his hand.

Little Dummy suddenly felt pain.

His hand hurt so much.

His nose tingled with sourness—how could they say he wasn’t family?

Little Dummy refused to believe it.

He opened the document, his vision blurred with tears, carefully reading every word.

"Marriage alliance…"

"Repayment… Given away…"

Little Dummy blinked, and a tear slipped down.

So… his husband wasn’t really his family.
