She needed to calm down and think carefully about how to interact with Meng Jiangtian in the future.
Being treated as Meng Jiangtian's sister could still ensure his protection, but it could never compare to the status of being his lover.
Liu Anna still wanted the position of Meng Jiangtian's lover. Cui Xisheng was a problem she needed to deal with. She had to find a way to get rid of him without making Meng Jiangtian suspicious and without putting herself in danger.
Liu Anna's thoughts became darker, and her pretty face turned grim and sinister.
Suddenly, she looked up and saw that about a hundred people were watching her, their eyes filled with schadenfreude and disdain, and they didn't even try to hide it.
Liu Anna instantly felt a suffocating pressure in her chest, nearly fainting from the humiliation. She shot a venomous glare at the few people who were looking at her with glee, then stormed out of the rooftop door and headed downstairs.
How dare they look down on her? Weren’t they all relying on Meng Jiangtian to get food? If it weren't for her taking the initiative to help them by taking Cui Xisheng's food, they wouldn’t have had anything to eat!
If it weren’t for helping them, she wouldn’t have made Meng Jiangtian angry and ruined their relationship.
Once her relationship with Meng Jiangtian was smoothed over, she would encourage him to leave this place immediately and stop caring about these people.
As for the student council president and those useless ability users, without Meng Jiangtian, they wouldn't be able to bring any food back. Sooner or later, those ability users would abandon these people and let them starve.
Meng Jiangtian watched Liu Anna rush downstairs, frowning slightly.
Although the zombies downstairs wouldn’t open the door, the windows were all broken. He wasn’t sure if any zombies had climbed up. Liu Anna rushing down like this was dangerous.
But then again, the student council president was down there. If there were zombies, the student council president would surely save Liu Anna.
Although that person was a coward, he was excellent at putting on a front. He wouldn't just ignore Liu Anna.
Meanwhile, there was also an unconscious person to deal with. The porridge needed to be eaten before it got cold.
Meng Jiangtian scooped a bowl of porridge and placed it near Cui Xisheng’s nose. The fragrance of peanuts, red dates, and goji berries from the porridge slowly wafted into Cui Xisheng’s nostrils.
The delicious aroma immediately made Cui Xisheng's stomach growl uncontrollably. His stomach betrayed him.
In the quiet rooftop, the sound was especially loud.
Pretending to sleep, Cui Xisheng couldn’t hold his stomach and just hoped to suppress the noise.
Meng Jiangtian, standing behind Cui Xisheng, saw the awkward expression on his face and smiled slightly.
He gently patted Cui Xisheng’s shoulder and softly called, "Wake up, it's time to eat."
Cui Xisheng didn’t respond, continuing to pretend to sleep.
Meng Jiangtian was patient, repeating, "Cui Xisheng, wake up. The porridge will get cold."
After calling him five or six times, Cui Xisheng finally pretended to wake up slowly.
"Awake? Are you hungry? Have some porridge," Meng Jiangtian helped Cui Xisheng sit up and scooped a spoonful of porridge, offering it to him.
"I’ll eat it myself," Cui Xisheng disdainfully looked at Meng Jiangtian. He had just fought with his girlfriend, and now he was being teased.
Meng Jiangtian didn’t insist and let Cui Xisheng eat by himself.
The warm porridge was delicious, and Cui Xisheng almost moaned in pleasure. After seven days, he finally had something warm to eat.
The peanuts, red dates, and goji berries in the porridge were sweet, much better than the overly sweet artificial jam in bread.
Cui Xisheng gobbled it down and had nearly half a bowl when suddenly, his stomach hurt.
The pain came suddenly. Half the bowl of porridge spilled onto his legs as he clutched his stomach, collapsing into Meng Jiangtian's arms.
"Cui Xisheng! What’s wrong?" Meng Jiangtian was startled, cold sweat instantly appearing. He tightly embraced Cui Xisheng and grabbed his wrist to check his pulse.
Cui Xisheng, still in pain, struggled, not wanting Meng Jiangtian to take his pulse.
Meng Jiangtian, anxiously, scolded, "Don’t move. I already checked your pulse when you were asleep. It’s just anemia. What are you hiding?"
Cui Xisheng froze for a moment. Though he was a student of traditional Chinese medicine, it suddenly occurred to him that Meng Jiangtian wouldn’t think a man could be pregnant.
His tense mood relaxed, and Cui Xisheng stopped struggling, allowing Meng Jiangtian to hold his wrist.
With one hand clutching his stomach in discomfort, Cui Xisheng said, "I think I have diarrhea. Take me downstairs to a room, I need to use the bathroom. Hurry, stop checking my pulse, I can’t hold it much longer."
The pain in his stomach felt like diarrhea. Cui Xisheng didn’t know if the baby would be fine, but at that moment, he really couldn’t hold it.
Meng Jiangtian saw the pale expression on Cui Xisheng’s face and put down his wrist. He quickly carried Cui Xisheng downstairs.
For the past seven days, over a hundred people had been using the bathrooms in the empty rooms downstairs.
The student council president had set up water containers next to the toilets in each room. Though the city had stopped functioning, the building’s plumbing was still intact for now, and there wasn’t much of a smell inside.
Liu Anna and the student council president were nowhere to be found. Meng Jiangtian put Cui Xisheng on the toilet, and Cui Xisheng, flustered, hurriedly pulled down his pants, and as soon as he sat down, everything came rushing out.
Meng Jiangtian, grabbing Cui Xisheng’s wrist again to check his pulse, looked embarrassed.
Cui Xisheng, mortified, pushed Meng Jiangtian away. "Check my pulse later, go out first."
"I’ve seen everything, haven’t I? I’ve even been in here before," Meng Jiangtian didn’t leave and kept trying to grab Cui Xisheng’s wrist.
Cui Xisheng became irate, kicked Meng Jiangtian's calf, and angrily yelled, "Get the hell out, I don’t like people watching me while I poop!"
Even though Cui Xisheng was in pain, the kick wasn’t very hard. Meng Jiangtian glanced at him and realized that Cui Xisheng was genuinely angry.
Being a patient, Meng Jiangtian didn’t want to upset him further. He sighed, "I’ll stay outside. Call me if you need anything. I don’t mind the smell."
"Go away!" Cui Xisheng growled, his face flushed in embarrassment, and the stench in the air was indeed unpleasant. Even he himself hated the smell.
Meng Jiangtian chuckled as he stepped outside and closed the bathroom door. But as he stood outside, his smile disappeared.
From the brief pulse check earlier, he sensed that Cui Xisheng's health was worsening. What had happened in the two months when Meng Jiangtian wasn’t around to cause such a decline in his condition?
That Dean Hao Ren was the one who understood Cui Xisheng’s body the best. If he could find him, he would force him to tell what was wrong with Cui Xisheng's health, no matter what it took.
Cui Xisheng spent over forty minutes in the bathroom, and Meng Jiangtian couldn’t help but go in and out four or five times. Cui Xisheng kept feeling like he hadn’t finished.
The smell was unbearable, so Cui Xisheng changed to another room’s bathroom to continue.
Meng Jiangtian returned to the original bathroom and used his water ability to clean the toilet.
