Everyone was puzzled and didn’t know what Meng Jiangtian was planning to do.

Only the student council president knew that this guy was serious about letting the food spoil in the sun before giving it out.

"Alright, everything’s been sorted. You can all go rest now." There wasn’t much food that would spoil quickly, so not all of the 108 people were needed to finish the job.

"We’re not tired. Now that everything’s moved, can we get some food?" Some people had waited too long, and their mouths watered as they looked at the food scattered all over the ground.

"Don’t worry, I keep my word. Since you’ve worked, I’ll definitely give you food. But not right now."

Meng Jiangtian flicked his fingers, and a sunshade umbrella floated over to him. Then, with another flick, a box of beer landed at his feet.

Meng Jiangtian sat on the beer box, under the shade of the umbrella, showing no intention of distributing food.

"What do you mean, not now? When will we get it?" Someone asked anxiously.

"When I feel like it," Meng Jiangtian replied leisurely, opening a bottle of beer and sipping it.

"When will you feel like it?" someone asked again.

Although they were furious at Meng Jiangtian’s behavior, no one dared to speak up. Their questions were cautious.

"It’s hard to say. But if you keep asking questions, I’ll be in a bad mood," Meng Jiangtian said, taking another sip of beer.

Everyone instantly fell silent.

Some of them looked toward the student council president for help. However, the student council president turned away, pretending not to notice.

The sun rose higher, and the temperature continued to climb. The rooftop was silent except for the sound of Meng Jiangtian drinking beer from the bottle.

A cool breeze surrounded Meng Jiangtian, and the shade from the umbrella kept him cool and comfortable, while everyone else was sweating under the scorching sun.

The smell of the bread and cakes scattered across the ground became more intense as they were baked by the sun. Even through the plastic bags, the scent of cream and wheat was noticeable.

The scent was tormenting the 108 hungry people, and their rationality was slowly melting under the heat.

Meng Jiangtian watched their miserable state with growing amusement, and without realizing it, he finished three bottles of beer.

After the third bottle, feeling a little warm, Meng Jiangtian set down a fourth bottle of beer.

He didn’t usually drink much, and his alcohol tolerance wasn’t high. Three bottles were enough for him.

The rooftop door was opened, and as Cui Xisheng stepped out, all eyes turned toward him. The feeling of being stared at made Cui Xisheng stop in his tracks.

"So hot, why are you up here?" Meng Jiangtian immediately walked over when he saw Cui Xisheng and pulled him toward the sunshade.

He helped Cui Xisheng sit on the beer box, the breeze gently blowing around him.

"It’s hot inside too," Cui Xisheng sighed in relief. The temperature had been rising inside, and even with the windows open, the heat was unbearable.

Cui Xisheng hadn’t wanted to come up, but after enduring the heat for so long, he couldn’t take it anymore and came to find Meng Jiangtian.

"What are you doing?" Cui Xisheng asked, puzzled, as he saw the bread and cakes scattered across the ground.

"Nothing much, just letting my fortune bask in the sun. Are you thirsty?" Meng Jiangtian offered him a bottle of iced tea.

"I’d rather have some mineral water." Cui Xisheng was indeed thirsty, but he didn’t like sweet drinks. The more he drank, the thirstier he became.

Meng Jiangtian glanced at the food pile. The mineral water had all been taken by the student council president and given to the 108 people. Not a single bottle remained.

"I’ll go get it for you."

"No need, I’m not that thirsty." Cui Xisheng looked at the hungry eyes of over a hundred people and couldn’t bring himself to stay there alone.

The longer he looked at them, the more uncomfortable he felt. Just as he was thinking of going back inside, a boy suddenly stood up. Cui Xisheng jumped in fear and quickly sat back down, nervously grabbing Meng Jiangtian’s wrist.

Meng Jiangtian held his wrist in return, looking at the boy. The boy shrank back but immediately clenched his fists.

He stood there, his face turning red as if battling with himself.

Meng Jiangtian found it amusing and watched him. The boy glanced at Meng Jiangtian a few times, gritted his teeth, and suddenly rushed out of the crowd.

Meng Jiangtian smiled as he watched the boy charge toward a bag of bread.

Just as the boy was about to grab the bread, Meng Jiangtian flicked his finger.

The boy, about to grab the food, suddenly found himself drifting further away from the bread. His body was rising uncontrollably, and the ground below him was becoming smaller and smaller.

Over a hundred people looked up at him, their expressions a mix of fear, concern, and schadenfreude.

As the boy’s view of the rooftop began to disappear, he could see three or four zombies wandering on the street below.

The boy’s heart stopped for a moment in terror as he turned to look at Meng Jiangtian, who was controlling him with outstretched hands. He cried out desperately, "Meng Jiangtian, I was wrong! I was wrong! I won’t do it again! Please, let me go!"

The boy’s cries attracted the attention of the zombies below. The three zombies immediately perked up, seeing the boy struggling in mid-air, and began screeching loudly and reaching out toward him.

Meng Jiangtian smiled at the boy, his hand retracting suddenly. Without the wind to hold him up, the boy plummeted toward the ground.

"Ah~!" The zombies grew clearer as the boy fell, and in a moment of panic, he screamed.

He was about to crash into the zombies, and the boy closed his eyes tightly, bracing himself for the pain that would come when he hit the ground.

However, instead of feeling the expected pain, he collided with something solid, causing a sharp pain in his chest, and blood spurted out of his mouth.

The shrill screams of the zombies filled his ears, and their foul stench assaulted his senses.

The pain in his chest didn’t feel like broken bones, and there was no sensation of being torn apart by the zombies. Confused, the boy opened his eyes to see the three zombies’ rotten hands reaching out toward him.

The boy’s stomach churned, and he almost vomited. But after two days of not eating, his stomach was empty, and he could only dry heave a couple of times.

The newly turned zombies were slow and clumsy, and as the boy spewed blood into their faces, they immediately went into a frenzy.

They reached out with eager hands, desperate to grab the boy’s dirty but fresh face, but they were too slow to catch him.

"Ah~~!" The boy, facing the zombies up close, completely broke down in fear. His screams echoed across the quiet street.

"Meng Jiangtian!" The student council president was shocked that Meng Jiangtian was so blatantly about to kill someone.

Weighing the situation quickly, the student council president realized this was the perfect opportunity to build his image as a person of justice. He immediately stepped forward to stop Meng Jiangtian.

Whether or not Meng Jiangtian would listen to him didn’t matter. The important thing was that he had tried to stop him.
