Cui Xisheng rushed to the bathroom in a hurry, solved his physiological needs, and felt completely relaxed.

When he came out, Meng Jiangtian was no longer in the room. The door was slightly ajar, meaning Meng Jiangtian must have gone out.

Cui Xisheng grabbed a tomato, wiped it, but hadn’t eaten it yet when Meng Jiangtian returned, bringing the student council president and Qi Tianshan into the room.

Qi Tianshan, upon seeing Cui Xisheng, had a moment of dazed eyes, quickly lowered his head, not daring to look further.

Cui Xisheng noticed Qi Tianshan was equally uncomfortable, holding the tomato and retreating to the bedroom.

Meng Jiangtian observed the expressions of both, becoming more certain that something was going on.

Breakfast was simple: jujube and wolfberry congee, cucumber salad, and a stir-fried potato dish, at Cui Xisheng's strong request.

Cui Xisheng had an unusual love for potatoes. He could even munch on them raw if he felt like it.

The student council president and Qi Tianshan were still eating leftovers.

After waiting for Cui Xisheng and Meng Jiangtian to finish, the student council president threw the bowls and chopsticks at Qi Tianshan, stepped in front of Meng Jiangtian, and seriously asked, “Is there something you want to say?”

“Something on your mind?” Meng Jiangtian chewed on a cucumber loudly, deliberately making noise in front of the student council president.

The juice dripped down, making the student council president swallow involuntarily.

After shifting his gaze for a moment, the student council president calmed his emotions and said earnestly, “Meng Jiangtian, aren’t you planning to share some food with the people upstairs? Someone fainted from hunger last night. If they keep starving, someone might die.”

“Why should I care if someone dies? I’m not their parent.” Meng Jiangtian tossed the cucumber stem aside, nonchalantly.

“We’re all classmates, and in the apocalypse, as long as we haven’t turned into zombies, we’re all the same.

So much food is being sun-dried. It won’t last long, and you and Cui Xisheng can’t finish it all. Why not share some with them?” the student council president questioned sternly.

“You’re right.” Meng Jiangtian suddenly nodded, agreeing with the student council president.

The student council president was taken aback, and Qi Tianshan also stopped washing dishes, glancing at Meng Jiangtian in surprise.

In the bedroom, Cui Xisheng paused his computer game and pricked up his ears, listening to the conversation outside.

“You agree?” the student council president asked in surprise.

“Yeah, I agree. Later, I’ll go up and pick out the food that’s close to expiring, lay it out in the sun, and when it expires, I’ll give it to them.

As for whether they can survive until the food goes bad, it depends on their health.”

“President, you made a good suggestion. I’ll tell them you’re looking out for them when I go up.”

Meng Jiangtian patted the student council president on the shoulder, grinning mischievously.

“Meng Jiangtian, don’t be too much. You can’t do this!”

The student council president slapped Meng Jiangtian’s hand away, shouting in anger.

“President, you don’t agree with my plan? Then I won’t give them any food.” Meng Jiangtian shrugged and changed his mind.

“You…” The student council president was speechless, unable to argue further.

“You say one more word, and I won’t give them the expired food.” Meng Jiangtian sneered, speaking slowly, word by word.

Threatened again, the student council president was left fuming, unable to say a thing.

The atmosphere grew cold, and Qi Tianshan, who had been washing the dishes quietly, glanced at the two men, still standing in the kitchen, looking like he wanted to disappear.

“Finished washing?” Meng Jiangtian asked, sitting on the sofa, looking at Qi Tianshan.

Qi Tianshan immediately nodded, quickly finishing his task.

“Then leave.” Meng Jiangtian nodded toward the door.

Qi Tianshan obediently left, and Meng Jiangtian looked at the student council president still standing in the room. “Aren’t you leaving?”

The student council president stood there for three seconds, and under Meng Jiangtian’s increasingly cold gaze, he finally left, his face dark.

Meng Jiangtian rolled his eyes as he watched the student council president leave. He entered the bedroom, and Cui Xisheng, seemingly uninterested, continued playing his game, not showing any signs of eavesdropping.

“Do you think I should share some food with the people upstairs?” Meng Jiangtian sat next to Cui Xisheng, putting his arm around his shoulder and pinching the soft flesh of his arm.

“The food is yours. You can share it if you want, or keep it for yourself. No one can take it from you.” Cui Xisheng responded vaguely.

He couldn’t even explain his own feelings about the people upstairs. Those people had stolen his food, leaving him hungry for two days, nearly starving the baby. He hated them for that.

Meng Jiangtian starving them and letting them see the food but not eat it pleased Cui Xisheng. It felt satisfying.

But Cui Xisheng was not used to watching people starve to death, especially since he was raised in a peaceful era. He just couldn’t bear it.

Still, he wasn’t a saint, and he wouldn’t forget the past. Meng Jiangtian wouldn’t save them, so he didn’t need to worry about it.

“You really don’t care about anything as long as you’re full. Well, if that’s the way you feel, then I’ll go upstairs and mess with them.” Meng Jiangtian, getting bolder, reached under Cui Xisheng’s shirt and rubbed his belly.

His hand landed right on Cui Xisheng’s baby bump, and Cui Xisheng flinched, nervously cradling his stomach.

Fortunately, his belly wasn’t showing much at two months along, and the flatness made Meng Jiangtian suspicious. He just laughed, “I remember you used to have a bit of abs, now it’s all fat. You should exercise more, don’t just sit around.”

“I’m severely anemic, and intense exercise makes me dizzy.” Cui Xisheng found an excuse.

There was a baby inside, and the first three months were a risky period. He couldn’t move recklessly.

Meng Jiangtian frowned. Cui Xisheng’s anemia was indeed a problem.

“Then rest well, don’t play too long.” Meng Jiangtian advised, closing the door and heading upstairs.

As soon as Meng Jiangtian appeared, all eyes turned to him, full of expectation. The student council president had mentioned earlier that he would persuade Meng Jiangtian to share food.

But the student council president had just returned, his face dark as if the conversation with Meng Jiangtian didn’t go well.

They were starving, the food was right in front of them, but no one dared take it. Every moment was torture for their self-control.

Drinking water alone couldn’t keep them alive. Some couldn’t hold on any longer, and seeing Meng Jiangtian, one man, weak from hunger, crawled toward him, begging, “Meng Jiangtian, please give me some food. I’ll do anything for it.

I can do everything Cui Xisheng does. This is my first time, it’ll definitely be better than Cui Xisheng.”

The man, desperate for food, was willing to offer himself in exchange for a meal. He had once despised Cui Xisheng for using inappropriate means to get food, but now all he could think about was eating. If he had made a deal with Meng Jiangtian before the apocalypse, he would have been eating a warm meal right now.

“Everything Cui Xisheng can do, you can do too?” Meng Jiangtian smiled, looking at the man kneeling at his feet, as if he was somewhat tempted.

The man’s hope rekindled, and he nodded vigorously, “Yes, I can do anything. If Cui Xisheng can’t do it, I can do it.

I work out often, my body is better than Cui Xisheng’s, and this is my first time. I’ll definitely be better than him.”

The man took off his dirty shirt, revealing his well-defined eight-pack abs.

“Heh, you do have a good body.” Meng Jiangtian smiled faintly, stepping closer to the man, “But I like a bit of belly fat, and I prefer someone who’s not a virgin. You don’t even come close to Cui Xisheng.”

Meng Jiangtian kicked the man, and with some force, the man rolled backward, spitting out blood.

Seeing what had happened, those who had been thinking of offering themselves to Meng Jiangtian immediately stepped back, abandoning any thoughts of approaching him.

Meng Jiangtian wiped his foot on the ground, disgusted that it had touched the man.

With a smile back on his face, Meng Jiangtian turned to face the group of over a hundred emaciated, sunburned people, their lips cracked and bleeding.

Looking at them, Meng Jiangtian felt that Cui Xisheng was still far more pleasant to look at, soft and smooth, without those rigid muscles. Holding someone soft felt far more comfortable.

Smiling warmly at the group, Meng Jiangtian said, “I know you’re all hungry and want some food.

The president spoke to me this morning, and I think he was right. With so much food, I can’t finish it all, and it’ll spoil if left too long.

So, I thought, why not share some with you?”

His words caused an uproar of excitement among the group. Over a hundred pairs of eyes gleamed with hope.

However, the student council president, hiding behind the wall, frowned. He had been thoroughly worn out by Meng Jiangtian recently and had come to understand his true nature.

This man would never just share food out of kindness. He probably saw this as another chance to mess with them.

"But if you want this food, you can't have it for free. Help me out with something, and I'll give you some food. Anyone willing to help, just raise your hand," Meng Jiangtian said with a smile.

"I will! I will!" Instantly, a chorus of dirty, outstretched arms rose from the crowd, each person afraid of not being picked, pushing and shoving toward Meng Jiangtian.

"Everyone sit down!" Meng Jiangtian took a step back, and with an overwhelming presence, his pressure bore down on the crowd. In an instant, the group collapsed to the ground, falling in a heap.

Breathing heavily and gasping for air, the crowd looked up at Meng Jiangtian in fear.

Meng Jiangtian withdrew his pressure and smiled again, "Don't rush. Everyone will get a portion. Just listen to me—ten people per group, come in groups."

Ten people at a time, Meng Jiangtian enthusiastically organized the over a hundred people into groups. Finally, he figured out how many people were on the rooftop.

One hundred and eight people. This number reminded Meng Jiangtian of the 108 heroes from Water Margin.

Zhao Huanrui, being sensible, removed the one-meter-high earthen wall. Meng Jiangtian directed the "group of warriors" to lay out the perishable foods like bread and cakes on the space cleared by the wall.
