RAAS Chapter 101: Origin World (VIII)

Shi Qing stayed in the specialized battle pouch that Qin Mo had prepared for him, maintaining absolute focus.

He committed everything he saw and heard to memory, afraid of missing even the smallest detail.

In such a tense moment, he couldn’t afford even the slightest distraction.

He couldn’t keep up with Qin Mo’s thought process, nor did he know his plan, but he was certain of one thing—absolute synchronization.

This required an unbreakable bond of trust and coordination.

So when Qin Mo pretended to defect to Chi Xuan, then suddenly turned on Xia Xun, and even more shockingly used Xia Xun’s own protective barrier to withstand Chi Xuan’s attack, Shi Qing felt neither surprise nor doubt.

The only thing he remembered was Qin Mo’s final command—devour Xia Xun!

As for how to do it, there was no need for him to think. Qin Mo released him, guiding him to absorb the white energy gradually detaching from Xia Xun’s body.

This was not unfamiliar—Shi Qing had seen it before, in a "dream."

Those two endlessly clashing, unrelenting energy forms had ultimately converged upon Shi Qing’s own energy.

The light cluster at this moment was much weaker than before. It was still dazzling, but it had lost its initial sharp momentum.

Shi Qing knew that this was the best opportunity—he absolutely could not miss it!

Mimicking the scene from his dream, he swiftly enveloped the light cluster. As soon as he made contact, he encountered a fierce resistance. However, he was prepared for this and immediately increased his strength, invading forcefully with an unstoppable momentum.

The process was not fast. Chi Xuan snapped out of his initial shock, and upon seeing Qin Mo’s actions, he realized that he, too, had been played.

Rage surged in a straight line to the top of his head, and he directed all his fury at Qin Mo.

Newcomer, how naive!

With Xia Xun dead, you’re nothing but an ant! Crushing you is as easy as stepping on one!

Without a single wasted word, he unleashed his ultimate spell, vowing to kill Qin Mo on the spot.

Qin Mo moved swiftly, launching a barrage of attacks with an earth-shattering force, locking into battle with Chi Xuan.

His power was immense, but killing Chi Xuan was still a difficult task.

However, what he needed to do now was stall for time!

Shi Qing exerted all his strength to suppress the light cluster. Although Xia Xun was already on the verge of death, he had controlled this power for too long—his familiarity with it was beyond what Shi Qing could match. Their struggle was not just about tangible power but, more importantly, a battle of spiritual strength.

Xia Xun did not want to die. His strong will to survive caused his spiritual power to surge, nearly overwhelming his physical exhaustion. Stripped from his body, his pure spiritual energy was unimaginably potent.

This was also something Shi Qing could not yet match.

But at this moment, Shi Qing knew—he must not lose!

He could clearly see Qin Mo’s situation. Chi Xuan’s strength was nearly invincible, and without Xia Xun’s protective barrier, Qin Mo had to rely entirely on himself to withstand the attacks. So far, he hadn't shown signs of defeat, but that was only because Chi Xuan, blinded by rage and underestimating him, had not yet unleashed his full power.

If this dragged on and Chi Xuan came to his senses, it would be over.

Shi Qing dared not think further. He increased the pressure. Xia Xun was already a half-dead man—if he couldn’t finish him now, he might as well quit!

A surge of confidence fueled an explosive growth in his spiritual power. Shi Qing already had a natural advantage in this aspect, and coupled with his latent ability—his red panda physique, which subtly enhanced spiritual strength—he had long since adapted to it.

A devoted spirit beast would never abandon its chosen partner.

Qin Mo had painstakingly dragged them from complete disadvantage to this moment, placing their final hope on him. Shi Qing could not disappoint him. He could not betray his trust!

His spiritual power grew wildly, its sudden eruption forming visible ripples, surging like towering ocean waves, engulfing its prey.

He had finally, completely and utterly, subdued Xia Xun!

At that moment, however, his skyrocketing spiritual power triggered a reaction in Chi Xuan.

Chi Xuan snapped awake, instantly regaining his composure. His eyes, once clouded with anger, turned razor-sharp in an instant.

He glared at Qin Mo, his gaze filled with ferocity.

I nearly fell for it again!

He could not afford to be careless any longer!

Chi Xuan’s eyes burned red as he gathered all the power in his body. He locked onto Qin Mo, determined to land a decisive blow—to end him once and for all!

Power surged, weapons hummed, and the overwhelming force twisted the space itself, shrouding the battlefield in darkness, roaring with destruction!

Chi Xuan locked his gaze on Qin Mo, victory within his grasp.

No one in this world can dodge this attack. No one can withstand it.

Qin Mo—you won’t either!

Yet Qin Mo did not dodge.

He didn’t even move.

He retracted his attacks, pulled back his weapon, and stood there like a fanged beast that had suddenly sheathed its claws, quietly waiting.

The moment of reckoning—life or death balanced on a blade’s edge.

A small red panda leaped into the air like a tiny bullet, shooting straight into Qin Mo’s embrace.

In the next instant, a half-transparent white light burst forth, expanding like an inflating balloon.

A guardian shield, shaped like an egg, rose at the last crucial moment, enveloping the two of them.

Chi Xuan’s lethal strike slammed into the barrier, sending shockwaves that warped space, tore through dimensions, and shattered the isolated battleground entirely.

The observers outside—the poachers and the lawful enforcers—were finally able to witness the climax.

But they also suffered the consequences of the overflowing power.

Countless individuals were thrown into the air—some instantly reduced to ash, others barely escaping with their lives but left gravely injured.

A radius of dozens of miles was flattened by the sheer force of the impact.

And at the center of it all, only two figures remained standing.

Two figures, locked in confrontation.

Chi Xuan’s eyes widened in shock.

Qin Mo let out a small smile.

He could feel the warmth in his arms—small, yet inexplicably reassuring.

And at that moment, the little creature spoke in a soft voice.

It was gentle, but the words carried an unshakable determination:

“Qin Mo, I will protect you!”

A blade is only truly fearless when it has a sheath.

An indestructible shield.

A soul he could trust.

Something that belonged to him—completely!

Ink-black steel slid from his palm, sharp as ever.

With an unrelenting force, it swung toward his enemy!

The balance was broken, the stalemate shattered, and what followed was an overwhelming show of power.

Chi Xuan perished from exhaustion.

Even in death, he couldn’t believe it.

His life had ended in such a manner—slain by a newcomer he had always looked down upon, despised, and never even considered a threat!

A familiar light orb floated in the air. Qin Mo reached out and caught it.

After a prolonged battle, Shi Qing was somewhat drained, but at this moment, he let out a deep sigh of relief—the danger had finally passed!

The light orb hovered in Qin Mo’s hand, seemingly still carrying Chi Xuan’s will, resisting submission. But in Qin Mo’s eyes, that resistance was insignificant.

He easily suppressed it, then took out the little panda and placed it beside the orb. "Eat it."

The little panda blinked.

"Be good."

For once, Shi Qing refused. He shook his head. Then, he spoke: "I don’t need it."

Qin Mo abruptly turned his head, his dark eyes locking onto him.

Shi Qing jumped down from his palm and slowly stood up. His slender and graceful figure seemed to be surrounded by a faint, white glow. He reached out and clasped Qin Mo’s hand tightly. "I don’t want to become a god."

Qin Mo was momentarily stunned, then slowly smiled. "This represents ‘destruction.’ If I devour it, something bad might happen."

Shi Qing looked at him and blinked. "I am by your side."

"Always by your side."

"Not leaving you, not even for a second."

Qin Mo was briefly dazed before he understood.

Shi Qing was using Qin Mo’s own way of comforting others—to reassure him, completely and utterly.

—You wield the power of destruction, and I will protect you.

—Swearing upon the entire world, promising eternal companionship.

—Together, we are whole!

The white light orb spun rapidly and disappeared into Qin Mo’s palm, fully absorbed.

Turning around, he lifted the boy’s chin and pressed a lingering kiss on his rosy lips.

He understood Shi Qing’s feelings now.

Thank you, Shi Qing.

Shi Qing woke up in the red bed half a month later.

Sleeping for so long… cough, cough… what a refreshingly pleasant rest!

Stretching lazily, Qin Mo embraced him from behind. Neither of them was wearing clothes. Having just woken up and pressed closely together, they inevitably grew warmer again. With the previous lubrication still present, it wasn’t difficult to slide back in, followed by another round of moans and gasps.

After feeling satisfied, Shi Qing quickly stopped, his mind still occupied with something. He turned around and asked Qin Mo, "I remember… you said before that you were going to take me on a mission?"

Unfortunately, they were interrupted by a group of people, followed by a life-and-death battle. Now that everything was settled, he finally recalled it.

Qin Mo replied, "Yes."

"What mission?"

"The mission doesn’t matter. The important thing is where we’re going."

Shi Qing’s heart skipped a beat.

Qin Mo caressed him, soothingly. "It should be your world, a place called Earth."

Shi Qing froze, momentarily in disbelief.

"Do you… think we’ll see them?" His parents, his brother, his family and friends, the place where he grew up.

"We will."

Shi Qing was at a loss.

He had imagined returning to his world again, but he never thought it would truly happen.

After arriving in the Origin World and witnessing countless different worlds, he had long stopped hoping for the good fortune of returning home.

But now… he had the chance.

Could he really go back? Should he?

Shi Qing’s mind was in turmoil. Then, images of his past life flashed through his mind, and when he turned to look at Qin Mo, he finally let out a breath of relief. Smiling, he said, "Let’s go. I’ll take you to see my homeland."

Just as they left the system space, Shi Qing received a flood of messages.

From a single person—Xin Er.

"Bro! I was gone for just five or six days, and what the hell did you guys do?!"

"Dear god, I’m literally on my knees here! Did you have to be this insane, man?!"
