Liu Anna's gaze remained glued to Cui Xisheng. With his eyes half-closed, Cui Xisheng snuck a peek at her—her once delicate face was now twisted with resentment, and her large, beautiful eyes had taken on a frightening look.

Cui Xisheng sneered. This white lotus still has a long way to go. Showing her true emotions so easily? She’s bound to expose herself sooner or later.

His stomach rumbled with hunger, and his dizziness worsened. Now that Liu Anna had stopped pestering him, all his discomforts became more apparent.

Lying weakly on the cushion, he rubbed his belly, silently cursing Meng Jiangtian over and over again.

As the saying goes, think of the devil, and he shall appear.

A commotion rippled through the crowd. Cui Xisheng opened his eyes and looked over—Meng Jiangtian had returned, hovering in midair.

In his hand, he carried a plastic shopping bag from a supermarket. Cui Xisheng's sharp eyes caught the four large characters printed on it: "Jia Jia Supermarket."

Through the transparent bag, he could see an assortment of snacks inside.

On the rooftop, over a hundred starving students stared up at Meng Jiangtian, their eyes filled with longing.

Liu Anna had already squeezed her way to the front, calling out sweetly, "Jiangtian-gege~!"

Seeing the colorful packaging of the food, Cui Xisheng’s hunger intensified. His mouth watered uncontrollably, and he barely had time to swallow.

But right now, he was too dizzy and weak. Looking at the frenzied crowd, he knew that if he joined in, he’d probably end up trampled to death.

Not worth it.

He decided to stay put, hoping that Meng Jiangtian, in honor of their three-year friends-with-benefits relationship, would at least spare him some scraps.

"Meng Jiangtian, you can’t possibly eat all that by yourself."

"At least share some with us—we’ll owe you a favor."

"Some students already have low blood sugar. If they don’t eat soon, someone could die."

"Meng Jiangtian, I promised never to ask you for anything, but this time, I’m begging you. Please help these students."

The student council president pleaded passionately, trying to persuade Meng Jiangtian.

Meng Jiangtian hovered in the air, swaying slightly with the breeze like a hanging ghost. His expression remained cold and unreadable as he stared at the student council president.

After rummaging through the plastic bag, he pulled out two cans of Eight-Treasure Porridge and two bottles of mineral water, stuffing them into his coat pockets.

Then, after another glance at the student council president, he took out two more cans of Eight-Treasure Porridge, holding them in his hands.

Finally, he descended to the ground.

Instantly, the crowd surged forward like a tidal wave.

Watching the madness, Cui Xisheng felt his heart race. If someone got crushed under that mob, even an esper would be turned into paste.

A second later, a gust of wind swept up around Meng Jiangtian’s position. Though not particularly strong, it was enough to keep the crowd at bay.

Soon after, Meng Jiangtian emerged from above, flying out of the chaos with Liu Anna in tow.

Below, the student council president and two other espers shouted desperately, "Stop pushing! Don't fight over it!"

Meng Jiangtian landed right in front of Cui Xisheng. His face was as cold as ever as he tossed three cans of Eight-Treasure Porridge and a bottle of mineral water to him.

At the sight of the porridge, Cui Xisheng’s stomach growled loudly again. He licked his lips but didn't resist when Meng Jiangtian helped him sit up.

Now relying on Meng Jiangtian for both protection and food, Cui Xisheng awkwardly muttered, "Thanks."

Meng Jiangtian, still expressionless, didn’t even say you’re welcome. He simply propped Cui Xisheng up properly, opened a can of porridge, and handed it to him.

It was still warm.

Someone must have fire-based powers.

Cui Xisheng was truly starving at this point. He took the porridge and started eating immediately.

Sweet, soft, and comforting—the Eight-Treasure Porridge had never tasted this good before.
