AAISBMEBF Chapter 83: Something Strange
Meng Jiangtian was anxious to go home and see Cui Xisheng, but at every intersection on the road, there was a surveillance camera.
With so many cameras, it would be hard for Lin Weihong to find the blind spots.
Finally, after some time, Meng Jiangtian made his way back home. He ignored Liu Anna in the living room and rushed to Cui Xisheng's room.
The door was locked from the inside. Meng Jiangtian knocked on the door again and again, urging Cui Xisheng to open it.
Cui Xisheng opened the door with sleepy eyes, still groggy and grumpy. His narrowed eyes were filled with hostility: "What do you want?"
"Are you hungry?" Meng Jiangtian placed his hand on Cui Xisheng's stomach.
"I just had breakfast, what are you talking about?" Cui Xisheng swatted his hand away, then saw a soft white light in his palm. It was some kind of ability, right?
Cui Xisheng immediately became alert and stepped back, glaring at Meng Jiangtian: "What are you trying to do?"
Does this person want to kill him?
"I just want to try something." Meng Jiangtian suddenly stepped into the room, quickly closing the door behind him.
His right hand, glowing green with his wood-type ability, restrained Cui Xisheng, pinning him to the bed, while his left hand with healing abilities moved towards Cui Xisheng's stomach.
Other types of abilities might harm Cui Xisheng, but the healing ability wouldn't. So, Meng Jiangtian decided to use it to try something.
Cui Xisheng was bound tightly, his arms and legs wrapped in the green wood ability, leaving only his stomach and head exposed, unable to move.
As the healing energy approached his stomach, Cui Xisheng screamed, "Meng Jiangtian, what are you doing? Let me go! Don’t touch my stomach, get away from me!"
What does this person want? Does he know there's a baby inside and wants to harm it?
His screams were loud, and Liu Anna outside the door heard them clearly.
Although she didn’t know exactly what was going on between Cui Xisheng and Meng Jiangtian, hearing Cui Xisheng’s anguished cries made her feel happy. Her curiosity flared, and she pressed her ear against the door to eavesdrop.
"Don’t be scared, I’m not going to hurt you." Meng Jiangtian didn’t expect Cui Xisheng to react so strongly. He kissed him on the forehead to comfort him.
While comforting him, the soft white healing energy continued to approach Cui Xisheng's stomach, slowly penetrating through his skin and into his body.
"Meng Jiangtian, I hate you!" As Cui Xisheng felt the energy approaching the baby, he shouted in despair.
Liu Anna outside the door was even more pleased, her eyes practically glowing with excitement.
Meng Jiangtian frowned, feeling that Cui Xisheng really didn’t trust him. He seemed to be in a state of total despair, thinking that he was about to perish.
Wanting to comfort him, Meng Jiangtian was about to speak when suddenly, he clearly felt a strong life force inside Cui Xisheng’s stomach. It seemed to wake up and was greedily absorbing his healing energy.
"What is this? What kind of ability is this?" Cui Xisheng had expected great pain as the baby was removed, but instead, he felt lighter, less dizzy, and his fatigue seemed to ease.
His mind, once foggy, began to clear, and he felt as though he were lying on a spring meadow, extremely comfortable.
"How do you feel?" Meng Jiangtian's eyes brightened with excitement as he looked at Cui Xisheng.
There really was a life inside him! It was their baby, his and Cui Xisheng’s baby!

"It feels pretty good. Did you awaken a new ability? What is it?" Cui Xisheng had never seen such a warm white energy, and it felt very comfortable.
"Healing type, I specialize in curing illnesses. If you’re ever uncomfortable, just tell me. As long as you’re not torn apart or dead on the spot, I can heal you right away.
You're not alone anymore. You need to take good care of yourself." Meng Jiangtian gently touched Cui Xisheng’s stomach, his expression growing even softer.
But Cui Xisheng was shocked and raised his head to look at Meng Jiangtian, cautiously asking, "What did you say? What do you mean?"
"You’re pregnant." Meng Jiangtian stared at Cui Xisheng, stating the truth.
Cui Xisheng’s panic was evident in his eyes, but he still retorted, "You’re talking nonsense! You must have awakened a new ability and fried your brain! How could a man like me get pregnant?"
"Even if you don’t admit it, it doesn’t matter. Your stomach will get bigger sooner or later, and you won’t be able to hide it." Meng Jiangtian didn’t argue with him, but gently stroked Cui Xisheng's stomach, feeling their baby greedily absorb his energy.
It had been two months, and the little one was starving.
Cui Xisheng glared at him, unable to refute. He turned his eyes away, trying to think of a way to get out of this.
The baby in his stomach wasn’t big yet, so after absorbing energy for a short while, it stopped. No matter how much other energy Meng Jiangtian sent, the baby wouldn’t respond anymore.

Cui Xisheng shot him a black look and covered himself with the blanket, not wanting to speak to him.

If he could save Director Hao, at least he could have peace of mind knowing that Cui Xisheng would be taken care of—he had no experience with pregnant people.
Cui Xisheng in the blanket ignored him. Meng Jiangtian smiled and flew out the window.
For others, avoiding the omnipresent surveillance cameras would be difficult, but Meng Jiangtian easily bypassed them using his space abilities. He appeared on the second floor of a household goods store.
Inside, only Zheng Ou was playing on the computer. When Meng Jiangtian suddenly appeared, Zheng Ou nearly had a heart attack.
"Are you crazy? There’s a door, why suddenly appear out of nowhere? You almost scared the baby out of me.
Don’t you know how to knock? Wait, how did you get in?" Zheng Ou was furious, but when he saw it was Meng Jiangtian, he shouted.
"Where’s Lin Weihong?" Meng Jiangtian didn’t answer Zheng Ou’s questions; he was here to find Lin Weihong and learn more about the underground lab.
"I don’t know where she went. She’s not my wife." Zheng Ou replied irritably.
Just as Meng Jiangtian frowned, he sensed Lin Weihong’s energy approaching rapidly.
Soon, Lin Weihong barged in, pushing the door open forcefully: "Zheng Ou, what’s going on?"
She turned to see Meng Jiangtian and was taken aback. "How did you get in? I’ve been downstairs, how didn’t I see you come in?"
"I flew in." Meng Jiangtian replied casually.
"You’re lying! You appeared out of nowhere! Wind abilities don’t work that fast. Do you have a second ability?" Zheng Ou recalled how Meng Jiangtian had appeared and raised his voice in disbelief.
"Space abilities. If we find Director Hao, I can sneak him out. Do you have any leads on the underground lab?" Meng Jiangtian didn’t hide anything; the more abilities he had, the more they would be wary of him, which wasn’t a bad thing.
"You're dual-ability!" Lin Weihong gasped in surprise. In the apocalypse, having just one ability was already a survival asset, but having two—well, that was on another level.
Lin Weihong stared at him for a moment, and Meng Jiangtian frowned, clearly annoyed. She quickly continued: "We’ve been searching for the lab for a while, but we don’t have much to go on.
However, based on the abandoned lab, we suspect the new lab’s entrance might be in a building that seems inconspicuous and hidden.
The entrance to the old lab was in an underground parking lot in a residential area. During the day, there are people and cars everywhere, so no one would think to look there.
We’re currently checking all the underground parking lots in the safe zone, but we don’t have enough people, and many of them won’t let outsiders in, so we haven’t made much progress.
But with your space abilities, you could help us get into places we can’t."
"Have you only checked parking lots?"
