"Jiangtian gege, wait, I need to talk to you." Liu Anna grabbed Meng Jiangtian's wrist, looking at him with pitiful eyes.

"What is it?" Meng Jiangtian remained unmoved. He liked men, and he had no interest in women acting all helpless.

"I’ve been suffering from heatstroke, and my head hurts. The room is too hot, and I can't sleep at all. Since you're a wind-type ability user, could you blow me some wind? It won’t take too long, and once I fall asleep, you can leave, okay?"

Liu Anna's eyes were big and glistening as she gazed at Meng Jiangtian, looking even more fragile and vulnerable, which would usually trigger a man’s desire to protect her.

Unfortunately for her, Meng Jiangtian wasn't affected by this act. He pulled his wrist away from her grip and said, "You can’t waste your abilities like that. If zombies break in, I’ll need to protect you all."

"If it's too hot, find a book and fan yourself. We've all been through it, so just bear with it a little." Not wanting Liu Anna to persist, Meng Jiangtian quickly walked away.

Liu Anna, left standing there, took a few deep breaths to calm down. She slammed the door shut and then pushed a wardrobe, taller than herself, in front of it, followed by a couch to block it further.

Sitting on the bed, Liu Anna thought about how Meng Jiangtian had shrugged her off and got angrier the more she thought about it.

Her long nails easily pierced the plastic on a bottle of mineral water. She took a long gulp, draining half the bottle in one go.

Meanwhile, Meng Jiangtian returned to Cui Xisheng's room through the window, finding that Cui Xisheng still hadn’t come out of the bathroom. He listened for a while, but there was no sound from inside.

Frowning, Meng Jiangtian knocked on the door and called, "Cui Xisheng, are you still in there?"

"I’m not done yet, what do you want?" Cui Xisheng, who was enjoying his bath, became alert when he heard Meng Jiangtian's knock.

"Nothing, just wanted to say, if the water gets cold, don’t stay in there too long." Hearing Cui Xisheng's voice reassured Meng Jiangtian.

With some time to kill, Meng Jiangtian rummaged through the box he had brought back. It was filled with unopened phones, tablets, and laptops.

He had gone to the electronics market and picked up a box full of gadgets, hoping to keep Cui Xisheng entertained. If one device died, they could just switch to another.

He opened one phone; it was at 70% battery, so it was still good to go.

The phone had plenty of apps, but no internet, so nothing was usable.

There wasn’t a single game on it, no Snake or Tetris like the old phones. Meng Jiangtian suddenly smacked his head, cursing himself for being so dumb.

There were plenty of old phones at the electronics market, even some with two batteries, but he had been focused on smartphones and completely missed out on the older models.

Opening several phones, none of them had games, so Meng Jiangtian stopped and moved on to a tablet.

Of course, it didn’t have games either.

He threw the tablet aside and, with no more room in the box, grabbed three laptops.

The first laptop turned on with 45% battery, and to his relief, it had some offline games: Chess, Solitaire, Spades, and Hearts.

Meng Jiangtian had never played any of these games before.

Afraid it would drain the battery, he quickly turned the laptop off. All the laptops were the same model, with identical games, and none had more than 50% battery left.

"Stupid computers," Meng Jiangtian muttered, turning them all off.

The sun was about to set, and without streetlights or shop signs, everything outside was dark.

Meng Jiangtian closed the curtains and turned on the flashlight on one of the phones, instantly lighting up the room.

Hearing the bathroom door open, Meng Jiangtian quickly ran to it.

Cui Xisheng had changed into new clothes and was slowly walking out of the bathroom, feeling fresh after his bath.

"Where did you get that phone?" Cui Xisheng asked when he saw the phone in Meng Jiangtian’s hand.

"There’s plenty of them outside, just picked it up." Meng Jiangtian smiled. "There are games on those laptops. If you're bored, you can play for a bit."

He helped Cui Xisheng back to the bedroom, but as they walked, Meng Jiangtian's hand wandered inappropriately over Cui Xisheng's.

His skin was soft, and the sensation felt amazing.

The room was too dark for Cui Xisheng to see, so he just followed Meng Jiangtian and sat down on the bed.

Meng Jiangtian, still feeling bold, reached for Cui Xisheng's hand, but Cui Xisheng quickly pulled it away and glared at him.

Sitting down next to him, Meng Jiangtian smiled. "We’re sitting close to save on energy. We can blow wind together."

A soft breeze suddenly began to blow around them, gently cooling their bodies, and Cui Xisheng sighed in relief.

He shot Meng Jiangtian a warning look but didn’t push him away.
