Among the four ability users, Meng Jiangtian’s level was the highest. The thought of his revenge was enough to make anyone shudder.

The three leaders saw that the crowd was beginning to retreat, and they immediately panicked. They had already pushed things this far, and if these people backed down, after having been hungry all day, they weren’t sure if they could still fight Zhao Jiake.

Moreover, if only they three took the food, and Meng Jiangtian truly returned, their lives would likely be over.

As the saying goes, “The law does not punish the crowd.” If there were many people involved, could Meng Jiangtian really kill them all?

They had to get everyone involved. The three of them exchanged a glance, and immediately, their evil intentions took over. They couldn’t let Zhao Jiake continue to sway the crowd.

The only way to ensure the food would be taken was to kill Zhao Jiake. Once that was done, everyone would rush forward to steal the food, and no one would dare resist, knowing they would face Meng Jiangtian’s wrath.

The three of them charged forward, howling in anger. Zhao Jiake shoved Cui Xisheng and shouted, “Get away!”

Cui Xisheng scrambled to the side, and Zhao Jiake roared, charging into the fray.

The battle was about to erupt, but then something unexpected happened. The three running boys suddenly stumbled and fell to the ground simultaneously.

Three deafening screams echoed across the rooftop. The crowd was shocked as they saw the three boys’ legs severed from their bodies, blood quickly soaking the area.

The sight of the blood made everyone flinch. They all quickly stepped back, and soon, the area around the three boys was cleared.

Meng Jiangtian landed next to the three of them, the wind swirling the blood and creating a clean space to stand on.

Behind him, there were over a dozen boxes floating in the air, all filled with food. He turned to face the frightened crowd and placed all the boxes next to Cui Xisheng.

Like a ghost, Meng Jiangtian drifted over to Cui Xisheng’s side. He glanced at the box of red date-flavored food and noticed a few were missing, revealing a hint of satisfaction, though it was fleeting.

“If you don’t like red dates, pick whatever flavor you want,” Meng Jiangtian said, moving all the boxes over and opening them one by one.

This time, there were a lot more flavors, but they were still all blood-replenishing foods.

Pig liver, chicken liver, dried longan, raisins, red sugar, and even some Chinese medicine ingredients—Angelica, He Shou Wu, Bai Shao, Astragalus, and even some expensive items like bird’s nest and ginseng.

“There’s still the pot and gas stove. Once I find them, I’ll cook this for you,” Meng Jiangtian said, adding a bit of everything into the red date-flavored box.

“I remember you like this.” He opened a box of banana-flavored bread and handed it to Cui Xisheng.

Cui Xisheng glanced at the three boys writhing in a pool of blood but didn’t dare argue with Meng Jiangtian. He obediently took the bread.

He really liked banana-flavored food, and he didn’t expect Meng Jiangtian to remember that.

Cui Xisheng’s obedient demeanor surprised Meng Jiangtian, and he couldn’t help but look at him a little longer.

“Brother Jiangtian.” Liu Anna squeezed her way through the crowd from the other side.

Without stopping, she threw herself into Meng Jiangtian’s arms, crying as if her heart would break. “Brother Jiangtian, you’re finally back. I was so scared and so hungry by myself.”

“Eat,” Meng Jiangtian said, pulling Liu Anna’s arms away from hugging him. He handed her a cream-filled bread and a box of pure milk.

Liu Anna didn’t want to take it, but she couldn’t resist the strength of an ability user. She took the bread and milk, pouting, “One isn’t enough. I’ve been hungry all day.”

Liu Anna was unhappy that Meng Jiangtian had pushed her away, and when she saw the boxes of food piled up next to Cui Xisheng, her dissatisfaction grew.
