Summary:
After Xia Qing's death, he is forcibly transported into a novel, becoming a ghost bound to the tyrannical emperor. The system informs him that he can seize the tyrant's body, follow the storyline, and be resurrected.
Xia Qing looks at the temperamental and cruel new emperor of Chu in front of him and rolls his eyes. "Resurrection, my ass. Do you know how broke I was in my last life? Leave me alone and let me reincarnate."
The system shrinks back but musters up the courage. "Uh… Host, how about I tell you the storyline first? Maybe you'll change your mind."
Xia Qing reaches out and grabs it. "Not interested. Shut up and send me back."
However, the system doesn't shut up. Right in front of him, it quickly spits out a melodramatic story. In the novel, the tyrant's plotline is about reckless chaos in the early stages, later turning into a devoted yet tragic character who loves but cannot have, suffering deeply at the hands of the protagonist before dying.
The system cautiously asks, "Don’t you want to know the ending?"
What nonsense.
Xia Qing covers its mouth. "No, I don’t!"
"But I do."
A soft laugh comes from across the table.
Xia Qing and the system both look up.
The tyrant emperor, beautiful as a flower, puts down his book, props his chin with one hand, and looks over. His black hair gleams like satin, and his smile is innocent. "Go on. Let it finish."
Xia Qing: "…"
