RAAS Chapter 92: Copied Life (Part Five)

"So, I said, what's the point of all this fuss?" The ‘Shi Qing’ opposite chuckled, but in the next instant, his expression changed. No longer feigning calmness and gentleness, his round eyes slanted upward, then narrowed slightly. As the corners of his lips lifted, a dangerous aura was unmistakably revealed. His gaze landed on Shi Qing: "From the beginning, I should have just killed you."

As he spoke, he spread his hands helplessly and looked at the ‘Qin Mo’ behind him: "See? This is all because you greedily wanted the prey to offer itself willingly. Now look, the two of them are together, and things have gotten even more troublesome."

Though he complained about the hassle, there wasn't a single trace of dissatisfaction on his face—on the contrary, he looked unusually excited.

Shi Qing frowned slightly. He found the sight unpleasant—the exact same face as his own, yet displaying such a strange expression. The feeling was anything but comfortable.

Shi Qing stared at him and suddenly asked coldly: "Who are you?"

If he had been confused at first—thinking this was either his copy or even his supposed original self—those two sentences immediately cleared it up. This was absolutely someone else.

As for why they looked exactly alike, that wasn't hard to understand.

Although illusions from the cultivation world couldn't fool Shi Qing and Qin Mo, the vast universe contained countless bizarre phenomena—who knew what kind of trick these people had used?

Unexpectedly, the moment Shi Qing asked, the other ‘Shi Qing’ widened his eyes in mock innocence: "I am you."

He even spun around in a circle and smiled smugly. "Such a beautiful body, isn’t it?"

Before Shi Qing could reply, a cold voice came from above him:

"Disgusting."

Shi Qing was stunned. When he looked up, he saw his host staring at the ‘Shi Qing,’ his delicate features like a sculpture—beautiful, yet cold.

Hearing that single word, the ‘Shi Qing’ abruptly stopped moving and turned to look at Qin Mo. A trace of malice flickered through his playful eyes.

"You're trying to provoke me."

"Yes." Qin Mo admitted bluntly, then emphasized again, "But you truly are disgusting. You've tainted that body, tainted my eyes."

The expression of the ‘Shi Qing’ darkened more and more.

Just moments ago, the real Shi Qing had been serious, but now he only wanted to sigh in exasperation.

Host… your ability to attract hostility is getting more and more refined! What’s the point of angering the enemy?

Shouldn’t they be taking this step by step—testing the waters, figuring out who these two really were, their purpose, and whether they were connected to the mission? Shouldn’t they also gather intel on how these people even knew about them?

Host, why are you acting like you're about to start a fight right away?!

Don’t be impulsive, hey!

Just as he was about to persuade Qin Mo, before he could even glance over, Qin Mo grabbed his hand:

"Beast form."

Shi Qing blinked. He was about to refuse, but the moment he met Qin Mo’s gaze, he relented.

Fine, fine. Now was not the time for internal conflict.

The next second, with a soft poof, Shi Qing turned into a red panda and leaped into Qin Mo’s embrace.

In the specially designed, all-purpose battle pouch Qin Mo had prepared for him, Shi Qing picked a spot to settle in, peeking out with only his two little eyes while keeping his ears perked up.

Feeling the fluffy creature against his chest, Qin Mo’s heart, which had been on edge, finally relaxed. The exhaustion of the past days vanished completely. He looked straight at the two imposters, his gaze deep and unreadable, but the corners of his lips lifted slightly.

It was a bloodthirsty and war-hungry stance—fearless, eager.

"Come on, poachers. Let me see your strength!"

A flicker of surprise passed through the eyes of the ‘Shi Qing’ and ‘Qin Mo,’ but they quickly replaced it with scorn.

The ‘Shi Qing’ let out a cold snort and swiftly revealed his weapon: "Rookie, you’re far too arrogant!"

"You’ve only experienced less than ten worlds, yet you think you're invincible? How ridiculous—how utterly laughable! You don't know your own limits!"

Hearing this, the little red panda curled up in Qin Mo’s pouch suddenly widened his eyes.

Holy crap, that's a huge information dump!

What did he just miss?!

The fake Qin Mo also unsheathed his weapons. Unlike the fake Shi Qing’s long whip, his two short blades gleamed with an eerie blue light—razor-sharp and ghostly, clearly no ordinary weapons.

The fake Qin Mo raised an eyebrow, his eyes filled with superiority:

"Your arrogance will be the reason you die here. And as for your adorable little system, it will belong to me completely!"

If there was anything that Qin Mo absolutely could not tolerate, that last sentence was at the top of the list.

His lips curved into a dangerous smile, his gaze growing even more ruthless. The beast within him stirred, restless.

Anyone who dared covet his Shi Qing… would pay a heavy price.

Death?

That would be far too easy.

The battle was about to erupt.

Shi Qing’s shock was indescribable.

His cultivation level had already reached the ranks of experts, but in this fight, he could barely follow the action!

The fake Shi Qing and fake Qin Mo possessed strength far beyond his expectations. It was clear they were accustomed to fighting together—the fake Qin Mo’s attacks were swift and fierce, his twin short blades moving as if they had minds of their own, like venomous snakes baring their fangs.

Their movements were aggressive and overwhelming.

Shi Qing, hidden within Qin Mo’s embrace, felt his fur stand on end.

Who the hell were these people?!

And ‘Shi Qing’s’ abilities were astonishing. His long whip moved in a dazzling blur, weaving a dense barrier with its unique material. It swirled like a tornado, shredding everything in its path into nothingness—so completely that not even a speck of dust remained.

The combat prowess of these two was far beyond what this world should possess. Recalling what ‘Shi Qing’ had just said, Shi Qing’s mind was in turmoil.

These two… knew he was a system. They knew Qin Mo was the host. They knew that he and Qin Mo traveled between different worlds.

And they called Qin Mo a newcomer!

So… were they also a system and host? Were they also travelers through different worlds?

It turned out that he and Qin Mo weren’t the only ones?

Then, Shi Qing remembered what Qin Mo had said earlier.

Poachers!

These two… were poachers?

Were they the targets of the system’s mission?

Shi Qing’s mind was a chaotic mess, with countless thoughts rushing in, each revelation more shocking than the last.

A sharp gust of blade wind flashed past. Shi Qing snapped back to attention, refocusing on the battle.

The fight was in a deadlock.

He had never seen Qin Mo’s weapon before—it was a pitch-black longsword, its dark surface emitting a faint, eerie glow. Staring at it directly even gave the illusion of being drawn into its depths. And now, it perfectly embodied its master’s ruthless killing intent!

The black sword radiated a bloodthirsty red light, and its fierce strikes carried an overwhelming pressure. Wherever its blade swept, a storm followed!

This darkness-filled power was terrifying—enough to make one hesitate, enough to make one recoil, enough to make one tremble with fear!

The previously relaxed ‘Shi Qing’ and ‘Qin Mo’ now wore solemn expressions. Their hearts surged with shockwaves—they never could have imagined that a so-called ‘newcomer’ who had only completed six missions had already grown to such an overwhelming level!

Strong enough to fight two against one—yet still at ease!

And they knew that Qin Mo had spent the past several days traversing more than half the world, exhausting a great deal of energy to find Shi Qing.

Even in such a physically drained state, with no time to recover, he was still capable of unleashing such terrifying power.

Truly inconceivable!

‘Shi Qing’ and ‘Qin Mo’ abandoned any thoughts of underestimating him and brought out their full strength!

Shi Qing couldn’t see everything clearly, but he understood the situation. Even though it was two against one, and their enemies were both formidable and perfectly coordinated, they still hadn’t been able to suppress Qin Mo. That fact alone meant that Qin Mo held the advantage!

Though Shi Qing could now be considered an expert, in this level of battle between true masters, he wasn’t foolish enough to interfere. Not only would he fail to help, but he would also disrupt Qin Mo’s rhythm. In this situation, one plus one wouldn’t be greater than two—if he stepped in, that would be the real idiocy!

Focusing intently on the battle, Shi Qing locked his gaze onto the ‘Shi Qing’ who looked exactly like him.

Strangely enough, ‘Qin Mo’ had already reverted to his true appearance, but ‘Shi Qing’ remained in Shi Qing’s form.

Normally, shape-shifting magic consumed a certain amount of energy. In such a life-and-death struggle, why would he still maintain this disguise?

That question circled in Shi Qing’s mind. Then, suddenly, he heard a sound.

A crisp ding-dong echoed in his head.

This was the notification sound of receiving a system message.

Why would he receive a system message at this moment?

Qin Mo?

Impossible. Qin Mo couldn’t contact him unilaterally—he could only respond if Shi Qing initiated contact first.

So… who was this?

Shi Qing immediately checked the message. It contained only one sentence:

Hello, if you receive this message, please reply. Thank you.

The sender’s name was two characters: Xin Er.

Shi Qing had never encountered such a situation before.

Who was ‘Xin Er’? And why could they send him a system message?

Thinking of the identities of the two people outside, Shi Qing felt his heart skip a beat.

Could it be… that this ‘Xin Er’ was one of them?

But he immediately dismissed that thought. No, impossible. Those two were already struggling to hold their ground—how could they have the spare energy to send him a message?

After a slight hesitation, Shi Qing replied:

Hello, who are you?

As soon as he sent the message, almost instantly—within a single second—he received a response. Unlike the polite tone from before, this message overflowed with urgency and excitement.

Oh my god! You replied! You actually replied! I’m Xin Er! My name is Xin Er! I’m a system! I’m just like you! We are both spiritual beings! Please save me, I beg you! Save me!

The desperation in the message made Shi Qing frown.

Though it didn’t seem fake, he had been deceived too many times before. He had grown cautious—it wasn’t so easy for him to trust someone now.

As if afraid Shi Qing would ignore them, the system named Xin Er quickly sent another message:

You definitely haven’t been to the Origin World yet, right? It’s okay. You can ask me anything—I’ll tell you everything. You don’t have to do anything extra. Just kill those two poachers, and I’ll be saved!
