TUMZ Chapter 7

Qui Zheyan was initially furious, but when he heard the question about whether he would be kicked out immediately, he suddenly found it amusing.

Damn it, who would be so heartless as to throw their lover out right after sleeping together? He hadn’t seen any hesitation when they were "exchanging techniques" just now.

Qui Zheyan laughed, genuinely amused by his own anger. “It’s winter right now. Do I seem that unreasonable to you?”

Zhuang Hanxue nodded, breathed a sigh of relief, and leaned against his chest. “Oh, so you’re giving me a grace period until I find a new job and a new place before kicking me out?”

Qui Zheyan flipped him over and kissed him hard. “No one is kicking you out! I never said I was kicking you out!”

Zhuang Hanxue was surprised. “You’re not kicking me out?”

Qui Zheyan gritted his teeth. “I never said I was kicking you out. Stop making things up. When did I ever say that?”

Zhuang Hanxue said, “But you proposed to me, and I refused. Doesn’t that mean…” He stopped mid-sentence.

Qui Zheyan licked the bite mark on Zhuang Hanxue’s shoulder that he had left earlier. The sting made Zhuang Hanxue hiss in pain. Qui Zheyan said coldly, “So, has a woman ever slept with you, asked you to marry her, and then kicked you out when you refused?”

Zhuang Hanxue’s shoulders tensed. He didn’t answer, but his reaction already gave away the truth.

Qui Zheyan let out a heavy sigh and asked with annoyance, “How many people have proposed to you?”

Zhuang Hanxue, as if treading on thin ice, averted his gaze and glanced at him from the corner of his eye. “Are you sure you want to know?”

It was as if he were asking: Are you sure you want to humiliate yourself?

Qui Zheyan felt a wave of panic in his heart. He pinched him underwater and snorted, stubbornly demanding, “Say it.”

Zhuang Hanxue grabbed his hand under the water, twisted his body as if in pain, and complained, “Don’t pinch me.”

Then he pulled his hand out of the water, covered in white, creamy foam, and while scratching his head, got some on his face—looking rather adorable. “Let me think… how many were there… six… seven? Hmm… I think even Lanlan mentioned it once.”

Qui Zheyan asked, “You really were quite the playboy, huh?”

Zhuang Hanxue, oblivious to the mood, not only didn’t feel ashamed but seemed rather proud. “You’re exaggerating. It’s not that bad. I was still pretty decent compared to my old group of friends. They were way worse than me.”

Thinking about his past girlfriends—tall, short, curvy, slender, all types—each of them wanted to tame him, make him settle down, push him to be ambitious, and sacrifice for the family. But he just couldn’t do it.

He had thought dating men would help him avoid such expectations.

He never expected Xiao Qiu to propose as well.

Damn.

Knowing that many others had been “used and discarded” by Zhuang Hanxue like him gave Qui Zheyan some satisfaction, but it also made him even angrier.

Just how many people had Zhuang Hanxue been with?

Fuming, Qui Zheyan grabbed something under the water and sneered, “This thing of yours has really been used by a lot of people, huh? Maybe it’s better if you don’t keep it.”

Zhuang Hanxue shivered despite being in hot water and stammered, “W-What are you planning to do?”

Qui Zheyan hugged him tightly, refusing to let him escape, and pinned him down. “What am I planning to do? I’m going to fuck you until you can only sleep with me—so that you’ll never be able to be with a woman again.”

The next day, Qui Zheyan left the house feeling refreshed.

He had the urge to chain Zhuang Hanxue up at home, or at least lock the door and change the passcode so he couldn’t leave. They were on the seventeenth floor, after all—where could he even run?

But after calming down, he realized that would be too much.

Yet doing nothing at all made him uneasy.

It was like keeping a cat that longed for freedom—if you didn’t close the door properly, you’d worry it would run away. But at the same time, you secretly hoped for a miracle, that it would choose to stay by your side of its own will.

Qui Zheyan applied some ointment to the marks he had left the night before.

Zhuang Hanxue flinched slightly, as if a little afraid of him. Seeing him like a frightened, abused puppy made Qui Zheyan’s heart ache.

All Zhuang Hanxue did was talk to some women, and yet Qui Zheyan’s jealousy had exploded to an unreasonable level. But last night, he had been drinking… and Zhuang Hanxue had a sharp tongue… he had lost control.

Now, he deeply regretted it—regretted taking Zhuang Hanxue to that gathering, regretted being too rough last night, and regretted impulsively proposing. Not only was he rejected, but he might have also scared Zhuang Hanxue.

His previous boyfriend had been older than him, just like Zhuang Hanxue, but their personalities were completely different. They had sat down and seriously discussed their future, yet still couldn’t make it work.

He couldn’t push Zhuang Hanxue too hard. If he pressed him any further, he might run away for good.

After force came tenderness.

Zhuang Hanxue curled up under the blanket. Qui Zheyan picked him up, blanket and all, kissed his hair, and sincerely apologized, “I’m sorry. Really sorry. Last night was my fault. I was too much.”

Zhuang Hanxue’s eyes were red at the corners—he was genuinely scared. He peeked at Qui Zheyan cautiously. “...My ass hurts. Can you not mess with me today? Let me rest, okay?”

Even after all that, he didn’t seem angry or upset.

Qui Zheyan nodded. “As long as you don’t provoke me, I won’t mess with you.

Let’s slack off a little and enjoy more days like this.

That was what Zhuang Hanxue was thinking.

New Year's Day was the peak season for Spring Festival movie releases.

After the January 1st holiday, Qiu Zheyan went back to work.

Zhuang Hanxue had nothing to do at home, so he decided to go to the cinema to watch some of the newly released films. There were quite a few that interested him, and watching one after another would make the day pass quickly.

There was a commercial plaza near his place, and the cinema inside was the largest in the city.

When he arrived at the cinema, he found that it was unusually crowded. Many people were dressed in similar outfits, and upon closer inspection, he realized they were wearing the official merchandise of Jiang Ruoyun's fan club.

After asking around, he learned that Jiang Ruoyun’s new movie was premiering here, and she was attending a promotional event. He had known about her new movie but hadn’t been aware she would be there. He had just bought his ticket randomly.

Zhuang Hanxue entered the theater and watched the movie. He thought it was pretty good.

After the movie ended, the host walked out from behind the scenes. The audience remained in their seats as the lights brightened, and several main cast members took the stage.

People around him started taking out their phones to snap pictures.

Zhuang Hanxue glanced around, thought for a moment, and then took out his phone to take a few pictures as well.

Jiang Ruoyun smiled gently and gave a slight bow to the audience, triggering excited cheers from her fans.

"Hello, everyone, I’m Jiang Ruoyun," she greeted.

She waved to the crowd, and in an instant, her gaze landed on a man sitting in the middle of the third row, grinning foolishly—Zhuang Hanxue.

It was absolutely hilarious.

After the event ended.

She suddenly felt nostalgic. Opening her contacts, she found Zhuang Hanxue still quietly sitting in her list. His profile picture was, surprisingly, Crayon Shin-chan.

She sent him a message: [It’s rare for us to meet. Who knows when we’ll run into each other again? Want to grab dinner tonight? My treat.]

Three minutes later, Zhuang Hanxue replied: [Can I bring my boyfriend along?]
