Zhou You was howling dramatically, leaving Tong Tong momentarily stunned.

But after a couple of obviously fake cries, Zhou You quickly stopped. He rubbed the back of his head, took two steps forward, and squeezed onto the couch, sitting down with a dramatic sigh. “You have to explain yourself today.”

Tong Tong, squished to the edge of the couch, frowned. “Explain what?”

“What do you think?” Zhou You squinted at him.

“…Where did I hit you just now?” Tong Tong asked.

“My arm.” Zhou You stretched out his arm. “Didn’t feel a thing. I’m not talking about you hitting me. I’m asking why you called me that.”

“…………”

Tong Tong carefully inspected his arm. There was no sign of being hit.

“You really think you can leave a mark on my strong, muscular body with that little strength of yours?” Zhou You leaned over, pressing against Tong Tong.

Tong Tong was completely pushed to the edge, gripping the couch for dear life. He shoved Zhou You twice, but he didn’t budge.

He had never met someone like Zhou You before—so outgoing, so overly friendly.

His past friends would never have gotten so physically close after just a few days of knowing him.

And they definitely wouldn’t have followed him out in the middle of the night just because they heard his hurried footsteps.

“Say it.” Zhou You nudged him again. “Why did you call me that?”

Tong Tong was deep in thought, and before he could react, another push sent him tumbling onto the carpet.

Zhou You: “…………”

Tong Tong stared up at him with wide eyes.

Zhou You shrank back a little, scooting over to free up more than half the couch. He patted the empty space awkwardly. “How’d you end up down there?”

"You hit back, okay?" Tong Tong sighed and found a comfortable position on the carpet, leaning against the sofa.

"Alright," Zhou You glanced at him, "but I have to tell you first—I have a hobby."

"What is it?" Tong Tong looked at him.

"Boxing," Zhou You said. "I've won a few medals. A couple of years ago, my mom even sent me to the U.S.—"

"Shut up." Tong Tong glared at him and stretched out his arm. "Go ahead, hit me."

Zhou You jumped down from the sofa and sat next to him. With a serious face, he raised his arm.

Tong Tong flinched back in fear.

"I'm just scaring you." Zhou You grinned and leaned in. "I wouldn't hit you."

Tong Tong was touched. "Then I won’t suddenly hit you either."

After saying that, he tilted his head and looked at the sky outside the window, which was starting to brighten. "What time is it?"

"Five thirty." Zhou You glanced at his phone and suddenly jumped up in shock. "Shit! It's morning already!"

Tong Tong looked down at his wrinkled pants and his white shirt, now covered in dried mud spots.

The dirt on his body had already hardened.

"I'm going to take a shower." Tong Tong tried to stand up, but halfway up, pain shot through his ankle, and he collapsed back onto the sofa. "Hiss—"

After an entire night, the swelling on his ankle had gone down, but the deep purple bruises on his skin looked frightening.

"I'll carry you," Zhou You said.

When they reached the bathroom, Tong Tong leaned against the wall, barely managing to stand as he prepared to take off his clothes.

He wondered why this guy hadn't left yet.

A minute passed, and neither of them spoke first.

"……"

"……"

They stared at each other.

"Oh!" Zhou You suddenly realized. "You want me to help you wash, right?"

As he spoke, he reached to take off Tong Tong’s pants.

Tong Tong smacked him across the face.

"Didn't you say you wouldn’t hit me?!" Zhou You yelled while carefully pulling down Tong Tong’s pants anyway.

Then, he grabbed a small stool from the side. "Sit down! Scumbag!"

Tong Tong held his pants in one hand and the showerhead Zhou You handed him in the other. "……"

After finishing his shower, Tong Tong dressed himself and walked out of the bathroom, gritting his teeth. His eyes were red from the pain.

"Look at you," Zhou You glanced at him sideways. "Would it kill you to just call me for help?"

Tong Tong was so annoyed he laughed and sat straight down on the floor.

Zhou You suddenly thought of his sister’s son, who would also sit on the ground like this when he got upset, waiting for someone to pick him up.

Zhou You stared at Tong Tong for a moment and finally realized why he had such a special fondness for him.

Tong Tong’s eyes looked a lot like his little nephew’s.

Big, round, and always giving the feeling that he was staring only at you.

Looking at them just made him feel…

Zhou You couldn't resist. He immediately stood up, picked Tong Tong up off the floor, and plopped him onto the sofa while giving his face a few pinches.

The moment he squeezed once—

"Hey! Don’t hit me! Wait! Not the face!" Zhou You covered his head and ran away.

By the time they finished getting ready, it was already six o’clock. Their school started morning classes late, at seven.

But with breakfast time included, they had to leave now.

Tong Tong was someone who enjoyed comfort and couldn’t stand suffering. He really couldn't make it down the stairs by himself.

Zhou You crossed his arms and stared at him with a dark expression, saying nothing.

Tong Tong thought for a moment, then spread his arms wide. "Trouble you, sister."

"You got it, sis." Zhou You beamed and carried him all the way downstairs to the breakfast stall without even breaking a sweat.

After buying breakfast, they hailed a cab.

Zhou You carefully placed Tong Tong in his seat before getting in from the other side.

Then, he picked out a few food items and handed them to him, even inserting the straw into the soy milk before passing it over.

Tong Tong watched Zhou You’s actions with a complicated expression.

Lately, he had been wondering whether Zhou You was being a little too attentive.

Normally, he wouldn’t have noticed. But after having that dream, everything felt off.

He never believed in dreams before, but the way Zhou You treated him was just too strange.

They had only known each other for a few days. Even if Zhou You was unfamiliar with everyone else in this city and only knew him, it still shouldn’t be to this extent.

There was only one possibility.

Tong Tong suspected that Zhou You might actually like him.

Maybe even have a secret crush on him.

But setting aside the fact that Tong Tong had never thought about dating a guy, Zhou You wasn’t even his type.

And most importantly—everything was happening exactly like in his dream.

If what happened later in the dream also came true, Tong Tong shuddered at the thought.

No way.

Absolutely not.

Tong Tong wrestled with his thoughts for half an hour before hesitatingly asking, "Do you believe in dreams?"

Zhou You bit into his bun and thought for a moment. "Depends on what kind."

"What do you mean?" Tong Tong was curious.

"If I dream about world wars or zombies eating people, I don’t believe it." Zhou You took a sip of soy milk and snatched the bun from Tong Tong’s hand. "But if I dream about lottery numbers, stepping in dog poop before going out, or my dad hitting me the next day, I believe it."

"So, you only believe it when it’s linked to reality?" Tong Tong pondered. "I recently had a dream that’s not only linked to reality but has already started coming true."

"Really? Then you have to believe it," Zhou You blurted. "Dreams like that are a must-believe. My dad once dreamt that someone was trying to harm him, and he had the same dream for several nights. He got so scared that he hired a master to resolve it. Turns out, someone really was trying to harm him."

"It can be resolved?" Tong Tong's eyes lit up. "How?"

"You can’t avoid dreams, you know?" Zhou You said. "But you can break them in advance. Just do the opposite of whatever happens in the dream, and boom, it's broken."

"Yeah." Tong Tong nodded thoughtfully.

"What did you dream about?" Zhou You asked casually.

"...Nothing." Tong Tong stuffed the dumpling in his hand into Zhou You's mouth.

When the car arrived at the school gate, it was only a little past 6:20. They were quite early, but there were already a few scattered students at the entrance.

"Maybe I should walk by myself." Tong Tong hesitated, not wanting to get out of the car while being carried.

"No." Zhou You rejected the idea outright.

"Then... then I'll walk on my own." Tong Tong gritted his teeth. The pain was one thing, but his pride was another.

If everyone saw him being carried, where would his dignity as the school heartthrob go?

"You're being dramatic." Zhou You didn't bother arguing and simply scooped him up in his arms, heading straight for the school gate.

Tong Tong struggled for a moment, but the moment he spotted a passing student, he immediately froze.

At this point, with his long arms and legs, there was nowhere to hide.

While cursing Zhou You under his breath, he used his backpack to cover his face.

He started praying desperately in his heart.

No one saw us!

You can’t see me!

You're all blind!

"You two! Stop right there!" A deep, authoritative male voice rang out.

Zhou You halted, and Tong Tong knew they were doomed.

Zhou You looked at the duty teacher in front of them, then glanced around. It seemed like they were the only ones together, so he obediently walked up to the teacher.

"Why aren’t you wearing your uniform?" The teacher scrutinized them suspiciously.

"Sir, I just transferred here. When I went to the logistics office to get my uniform, they told me they didn’t have my size. The pants were too short." Zhou You explained earnestly.

"Oh." The teacher nodded, then looked at the person in Zhou You's arms. "And what's your relationship?"

"Best sisters!" Zhou You declared proudly.

"Best sisters?" The teacher was stunned. "Then why are you two hugging?"

Tong Tong peeked out from behind his backpack. "Sir, my foot—"

"Such deep sisterly affection!" Zhou You said.

"Tong Tong?" The teacher recognized him instantly, and his expression changed.

Tong Tong's face also shifted, and he quickly hid behind his backpack again.

Last semester, he had beaten up one of this teacher’s students right on the podium.

"Hugging isn't allowed in school, understood? Put him down!" The teacher glared at them.

"Apologies, sir. My friend sprained both of his feet," Zhou You said politely, dropping the jokes. "They're already swollen. If he tries to walk, it could make the injury worse."

"A sprain is no big deal." The teacher frowned.

"If he's sprained, then he should be carried." Zhou You responded.

The teacher was speechless. "..."

Then he grew furious. "Alright, if you’re so capable, carry him for an entire lesson in my class!"

"Sure! No problem at all." Zhou You grinned.

"What?" Tong Tong looked horrified.

"Don't be so polite, we’re friends." Zhou You reassured him.

"No—"

"Seriously, it's fine. I can carry you all day." Zhou You said sincerely.

"All day, huh?" The teacher, already annoyed with Tong Tong, grew even angrier. "Fine! If you're so confident, carry him all day! I’ll check in on your class all day!"

"If I don’t, I’m your grandson!" Zhou You shot back instantly.

"Damn it!" Tong Tong cursed under his breath at Zhou You.

"Did you just swear?" The teacher's eyes widened.

"Go, go, go!" Tong Tong hurried Zhou You away.

Zhou You obeyed, running off with Tong Tong still in his arms. As they ran, he even turned back to flash the teacher a cheeky grin.

They had just reached the school building.

"Wait, I need to use the restroom." Tong Tong suddenly said. "Go to the left one, no one’s there."

Zhou You carried him over. Sure enough, the restroom was empty.

Once inside, Zhou You carried him right to a stall.

"Aren’t you gonna let go?" Tong Tong looked at him.

"Why would I?" Zhou You looked puzzled. "The teacher said to carry you. Just go ahead and pee."

"I can’t pee while being carried!" Tong Tong yelled.

"Just..." Zhou You looked even more confused. "Use your dick to pee."

"..."

Zhou You thought about it for a moment, then looked at him seriously. "What, are you gonna force your pee up into steam and have it come out the top of your head?"

Tong Tong: "..."

Damn it.
