The darkness emboldened Xi Yanqing’s cautious exploration. He felt the delicate softness from Luo Fei’s belly and his acceptance—well, it was acceptance, right? Luo Fei didn’t push him away, which made Xi Yanqing feel more confident.
In truth, Luo Fei was extremely nervous. He didn’t know what to do. It felt like there was a colorful candy in front of him; he wanted to try it and see if it was sweet, but he was afraid that the candy would ruin him. Conflicted and tangled, yet the candy kept tempting him.
Xi Yanqing’s hands were rough like sandpaper. His hard work had formed thick calluses, and sometimes his touch hurt Luo Fei a little, but Luo Fei curiously found he didn’t mind it.
Wait! Am I a masochist?!
No way! It’s just a little bit comfortable! Even the massage therapist pinches really hard, but afterward, it feels good, right? Does that mean everyone who gets a massage is a masochist?
Massage feels good because it relieves muscles! But this is being caressed! Caressed, do you understand? Rough fingers caressing and igniting the urge!
Who’s feeling the urge?! I don’t feel anything!
Luo Fei gripped his clothes, his breathing gradually becoming heavier without realizing it.
The key was that he didn’t dislike Xi Yanqing, and in fact, he liked it a little. Plus, he was in the most energetic stage of his life, so being touched by Xi Yanqing, with his nervous and expectant caresses, really left him unsure of what to do.
His little donkey was growing stubborn and uncooperative!
“Qing… Qing Ge…” Luo Fei tried to speak but suddenly froze. Ahhh, what was that sound?! It was a little fearful and seductive, like he had been possessed by a fairy! This definitely wasn’t him!
“Don’t be afraid, I just can’t control myself.” Xi Yanqing slowly leaned in, tracing Luo Fei’s eyebrows in the dark. “How could you not attract me?”
“Um… that, how about…” Luo Fei shuffled sideways like a crab towards the wall. “The duvet isn’t really that thin, right? Maybe we should just each cover ourselves. What do you think?”
“No,” Xi Yanqing grabbed him and pulled him into his arms. “A shared quilt is warmer. Why are you running away? Let me hold you properly.”
“Then just hold me! But can you stop…” Luo Fei gritted his teeth, his voice small like a mosquito, “Stop pushing that against me?”
“What do you think?” Xi Yanqing pressed his body down onto Luo Fei. “Have you ever seen a wolf starving for so long that it doesn’t want to bite the little lamb it’s been longing for?”
“A few bites are normal, but scaring the little lamb with a big stick is a bit immoral!” Luo Fei pushed against Xi Yanqing while trying to move away, “You’re leaving the lamb with lifelong psychological scars! This isn’t good for future relationships.”
“Didn’t you already leave psychological scars on me? If we don’t solve this problem soon, that’s what will really affect our future relationship.” Xi Yanqing said, and without thinking, he grabbed Luo Fei’s hand and placed it somewhere. “Don’t believe me? Feel it for yourself. It’s not as big as you imagined, is it?”
“You! You, you, you… huh? Actually, it’s not!” Luo Fei didn’t dare to squeeze, but based on the touch, he realized it wasn’t big, and it wasn’t even that hard. He lightly rubbed it, then immediately went crazy. “Damn you, Xi Yanqing! This is clearly my bird!”
“Tsk, you found out so quickly? Don’t be mad, let me rub it for you.” Xi Yanqing placed Luo Fei’s hand under the duvet and started rubbing.
Luo Fei wasn’t a log, so when he was rubbed, his little donkey naturally stood up more forcefully. He wanted to push Xi Yanqing’s hand away, but the pleasant sensation made him reluctant to stop. Caught between the two feelings, his other hand was guided to touch Xi Yanqing’s head…
“Qing, Qing Qing Ge, I… I’m not prepared for this! You…” Luo Fei’s hand touched the big stick, his soul almost flying away, “How about you go take a cold shower?! AHHH… Xi Yanqing, you bastard!”
Low laughter came from beneath, as if saying: “Say whatever you want, I’m not listening.”
Luo Fei was about to die from embarrassment. His body was as hot as a shrimp just boiled in water. But shamefully, he realized he couldn’t resist Xi Yanqing’s touch, especially when his most sensitive areas were… touched! This feeling was insane…
Where’s the dignified actor’s soul?! Where’s the rational actor’s soul?! What happened to them?! Why is there just a little sheep with no self-control guarding the house now? This play is ruined!
You shameless thing! After taking my first kiss, now you’ve taken my first time! You know, I’ve never been like this with myself before!
Thus, the pure employer-employee relationship was destroyed by the other party!
By the time Luo Fei realized what happened, Xi Yanqing had already gotten up from the bed, lit the oil lamp, and went to fetch a clean cloth to wipe Luo Fei’s hands.
Luo Fei buried his head in the quilt, refusing to look at Xi Yanqing. His hand was being held, and he muttered inside, “You’re annoying!”
The soft pride in his voice almost reignited the fire in Xi Yanqing’s chest. Xi Yanqing laughed. “Yeah, I’m the most annoying.”
Luo Fei buried his face in the blanket, wanting to crash his head into the wall!
Forget it, forget it, you self-control-deficient, weakling!
Xi Yanqing grabbed the duvet. “You want to suffocate yourself?”
Luo Fei pulled with all his strength, “If I suffocate, so be it!”
Xi Yanqing was utterly helpless. “I didn’t really do anything to you, just helped you relax. Isn’t that okay?”
“Then turn off the light.” Luo Fei said.
“No.” Xi Yanqing sat on the edge of the bed. “I just want to see what you look like right now. Once I see, I’ll turn off the light.”
Luo Fei thought to himself, what a weird habit, but he still poked his head out of the quilt like a little caterpillar, showing just his eyes, not even his nose. When Xi Yanqing looked at him, he quickly dove back under the blanket.
Xi Yanqing laughed and shook his head, turning off the light. Afterward, he pulled Luo Fei into his arms.
“Qing Ge, when did you start liking me?” Luo Fei’s voice came from beneath the quilt. He had wondered this many times, but still had no answer. Except when he was near Liang Boyuan, he seemed to have never seen Xi Yanqing. Yet Xi Yanqing liked him—how? Was it because of his obsession with Liang Boyuan? That seemed like a joke.
"It was probably when you were sixteen," Xi Yanqing said absent-mindedly as he absentmindedly felt along the back of Luo Fei's spine through the quilt. "Do you remember? You went to Huasheng KTV with a group of friends to sing."
"Sounds about right. It was my cousin's birthday, and it happened to be Halloween. I didn't really want to go, but they half-pushed me into it. Did you see me there?"
"Mm." Xi Yanqing smiled faintly. "You helped me out that day." Though two years had passed, it wasn’t long at all, and he still remembered it clearly. At the time, he was working part-time, doing tutoring or short-term jobs wherever he could find them. That was how he met Luo Fei. Luo Fei was two years younger then, but still just as captivating as he was now, especially those lively eyes that made him hard to forget.
"What did I help you with? I don't really remember." Luo Fei racked his brain, even sticking his head out for some fresh air but still couldn't recall how he had helped Xi Yanqing.
"I was working as a waiter at Huasheng that day, and it was the last day. I think your relative was a little drunk and bumped into me. He spilled alcohol all over himself and started demanding I kneel and apologize. You helped me out then." Xi Yanqing had been wearing a mask that day as part of the Halloween uniform, so it was understandable that Luo Fei hadn’t recognized him. Luo Fei had pushed his relative away and said, "Cousin, enough already! You're always making a scene when you're drunk! If you don't stop, I'll call Aunt to come pick you up!"
"Lo Fei! Who are you siding with?" Luo Fei's cousin, who was being supported and speaking incoherently, seemed to listen to Luo Fei’s words. After a glare at Xi Yanqing, he staggered off.
Xi Yanqing thought it was all over, but Luo Fei then came to apologize on behalf of his cousin, showing a warm smile. "Sorry, my cousin’s usually fine, but he gets like this when he drinks. I saw it happen, and it was his fault for bumping into you." He turned to the manager and said, "Please don’t blame this employee."
The manager, Qin, was very polite and reassured, "Young Master Luo is very kind, don’t worry, I won’t blame him."
"That's good," Luo Fei smiled at Xi Yanqing and left.
For Luo Fei, it seemed like just a casual gesture, but it helped Xi Yanqing a great deal.
Xi Yanqing, unlike Luo Fei or Liang Boyuan, had a much different background. Luo Fei came from a single-parent home but his mother was a strong, independent woman, and his grandmother’s family was well off. Liang Boyuan also had a capable father and a good life. But Xi Yanqing’s mother had run away with a penniless man when she was young, and after giving birth to him, couldn't take care of him, leaving him at an orphanage.
Although his mother later told his aunt about this, and his aunt worked to find him, by that time he had grown up and had learned to rely on himself. He declined his aunt’s financial help and continued his life the way he always had. But, honestly, if something had gone wrong that night, he might have spent two weeks working in vain, or Luo Fei’s cousin could have escalated things, and he wouldn’t have been able to explain himself to a customer.
So, Luo Fei’s appearance at that moment played a crucial role and planted a seed of desire in Xi Yanqing’s heart.
Xi Yanqing began to yearn to see Luo Fei, or perhaps, to put it simply, he liked Luo Fei. At that time, his liking was more about admiration—admiring the fairness in Luo Fei’s eyes, his seriousness, and his straight-laced values. Later, when he met Luo Fei again, it was with gratitude and relief, though, when he learned Luo Fei liked Liang Boyuan, it made him feel especially bitter...
He cleared his throat. Never mind, it was all in the past. The important thing was, Luo Fei was in his arms now!
Luo Fei, after struggling and being pulled back into Xi Yanqing's embrace a few times, stopped resisting. He obediently stayed in Xi Yanqing’s arms, only showing his head. The two of them casually chatted.
Xi Yanqing liked this peaceful and warm moment before sleep. As long as they could ignore the desire pressing against their chests, it was quite nice. He kissed Luo Fei’s forehead gently, "Sleep now."
"I'm not really tired yet," Luo Fei said.
Xi Yanqing laughed and asked, "Do you want me to give you another one?"
Without thinking, Luo Fei quickly replied, "No, no!"
After the first time, he was already so flustered he couldn't sleep—if there was another round, it would be chaos!
It turned out he finally understood why the ancients said, “Food and sex are human nature!”
Luo Fei forced himself to sleep. Eventually, after a while, Xi Yanqing stopped talking, and Luo Fei finally drifted off. But it wasn’t a very peaceful sleep. In fact, he had a dream. In his dream, he was wearing a red wedding dress, being kissed by Xi Yanqing at the peach tree by the door. Xi Yanqing’s tongue dominated his mouth, and Luo Fei was terrified that someone might see them. He was almost at his wit's end, but Xi Yanqing seemed fearless, even pulling his quilt away...
Later? Later, he woke up! And saw Xi Yanqing was kissing him!
Luo Fei thought he might have been sleep-drunk, and the first thing he asked after opening his eyes was, "Xi Ge, did you brush your teeth yesterday?"
Xi Yanqing was stunned by the odd question for a moment, then smiled, "No."
Luo Fei immediately blushed, embarrassed, and said, "I... I’ll go make breakfast."
"Okay," Xi Yanqing said, but his grip on Luo Fei didn’t loosen.
Luo Fei waited a moment and noticed Xi Yanqing still didn’t move. "Why are you still holding me?"
Xi Yanqing sighed deeply, "What do you think? Of course, I don’t want to let go."
Luo Fei immediately began to squirm backward, avoiding Xi Yanqing’s gaze, looking everywhere but at him.
Xi Yanqing, seeing this, pinched Luo Fei's ear. "I finally understand what 'afraid of freezing it in my hand, afraid of melting it in my mouth' means. Get up now. Didn’t you say we were going to the field to weed this morning?"
"Right!" Luo Fei suddenly remembered.
With great effort, he managed to get up despite being tightly wrapped in the quilt, sitting up like a caterpillar, all while Xi Yanqing found the situation amusing.
After a moment, Xi Yanqing leaned in and gave Luo Fei a playful kiss on the lips before leaving.
Luo Fei stood there, his ears redder than ripe tomatoes!
