Chicago, Windsor Mall, 7th Floor.

The clean and bright floor-to-ceiling windows reflected a soft glow.

In the dessert shop near the window, several tables were clearly visible.

In the distance, atop a tall building, a male bee from Pepejia Planet, holding an official battle bee telescope in one hand, adjusted it in front of his eyes.

Through the device, he listened to the intelligent locking sound and quickly found the target he was looking for. In his mind, he silently calculated the time.

One minute, two minutes, three minutes, half an hour…

It actually took more than half an hour!

Incredible—

“If my plant type, alone with an alien male for more than half an hour...” Behind him, another male bee, in its second form (similar to human), watched the back of his comrade with a mocking "Ha" and sneered, “I would be dead by now! Otherwise, this scene would not be happening!”

Let alone alone time. They couldn’t even meet other males!

You see, every time the flower blooms and the plant type grows, the male bees enter a special period to avoid missing the flowering phase and failing to collect nectar.

Even on normal days, the overwhelming obsession with the plant type is enough to make male bees emit a strong possessiveness and protective instinct every day.

Not to mention the special period and flowering phase, which stirs the male bees' fighting spirit and violent emotions.

During these times, they lose their minds, becoming suspicious and jealous husbands—turning into rage-fueled road-rage types!

Because of this, their race has been criticized by other species.

But they can’t control it.

It’s their nature.

“Simon, aren’t you angry at all?”

The man, with a sarcastic tone earlier, took out his equipment to look at Simon's plant type across the mall.

“Well, no wonder he’s a rare breed. Even living in such an environment, he hasn’t withered away; instead, he’s blooming. Hmm, quite cute too. I wonder if it’s durable—”

A fist with windspeed swung quickly toward his waist!

The man, well-prepared, smiled slightly and swiftly turned his body, leaping backward, easing several steps.

“Hey~”

With the same brown-yellow eyes, the man stared at Simon's dark face, grinning even wider, “Glad you're angry; I was worried you had a brain malfunction or something.”

Simon’s gaze was cold as he stared at him, “Don’t provoke me, Ace.”

Ace laughed even louder, “Of course, I won’t. Probably.”

“My precious, my flower’s body is still adjusting. The fragrance on the flower on his head just recovered. If I find anyone disturbing him... Ace, I will twist his head off and rip it out!”

“……”

Seeing the cold look Simon gave him as he mentioned his neck, Ace froze, shivering in the back of his neck.

He controlled his hand from reaching for his neck, “Tch~” he muttered, no longer speaking.

Simon didn’t care about him, continuing to watch across the mall, where Michel was eating cake with Benny.

After a while, no one was paying attention, and Ace murmured softly.

“If it were my plant type, I’d definitely beat the male eating with him to death.”

“……”

“If it were my plant type, I wouldn’t let him go out alone.”

“……”

“If it were my plant type, I’d hold him so tight even if I was injured.”

“……”

“If it were my plant type—”

“Ace.”

“Ah?”

“I heard you.”

“Heh, I wanted you to hear it!”

“……”

“What do you think, brother? Are you moved? Shall we go beat up that guy who dares to compete for your little flower?”

“Ace…”

“Hah, say it.”

“You don’t have a plant type.”

“Uh…”

Simon turned to look at the man, whose smile froze instantly. His pity-filled gaze and stiff face were as if he was looking at an idiot.

“You’re an old bachelor. You don’t even have a flower seed. Did you forget?”

“…………”

“No flower seed, and you’re talking about your plant type? A single dog can’t understand the sweetness and difficulty of married men. Don’t disturb me from watching my little flower. Go away and cool off. Oh, poor single bees~”

—Ace swore.

He saw that sentence in Simon’s eyes.

Damn!

What’s wrong with married male bees?

Are married male bees so awesome?

Huh?!

Sigh, fine... Ace pouted, squatting down, hugging himself miserably.

Married male bees are so awesome.

He was utterly envious of Simon.

Benny and Michel’s Conversation:

“I say, you have to get over it, Michel. Actually, even if the teacher and classmates find out, it’s not that bad...”

Benny looked at Michel’s lifeless stare and swallowed what he was about to say, clearing his throat awkwardly.

“Cough cough, okay, actually, it’s pretty bad. With your personality, you definitely don’t want the whole school looking at you like you’re a monkey. But it’s unavoidable, after all, you’re the first student in our school to change to an alien identity... and grow a flower on your head.”

In their school’s history, there had been early marriages.

As for same-sex marriage?

Please, it’s 4057. Same-sex partners aren’t even a big deal anymore.

But the key point is, Michel was originally human, and now he suddenly turned into an alien!

For the bored students, it’s the biggest news ever.

In less than a day, the entire school was in an uproar!

Benny said happily, “Oh my god! You’re a celebrity now, Michel!”

Michel sighed, rubbing his nose as he spoke wearily, “This is not a good thing, Benny.”

“Why?”

“Our school has some extreme students who oppose alien residents. Don’t you remember?”

“Uh…”

Humans are very good at distinguishing between ‘us’ and ‘them’ and dislike beings who are different from them.

Earth’s communication with aliens hadn’t been for long, and while many humans welcomed alien species, others discriminated against them.

This had become somewhat of a norm, and was easy to understand.

These people are always vigilant and severely xenophobic.

Years ago, there were even protests.

For humans, it was just some noise, but for alien residents, encountering them was a serious threat!

They hadn’t cared before, as it didn’t affect them. They didn’t discriminate against anyone, nor did they get involved.

But now…

Benny’s smile faded, his face turning pale as he looked at Michel. “Our school…”

Michel nodded. “There are some. Eric, for example.”

Benny: “…”

Eric Ellis, the school’s notorious violent thug.

Leader of a gang of bullies.

“Maybe you should skip school for now…”

Benny swallowed nervously, “He just sent a football player to the hospital last time. He’s a psycho.”

“I can’t skip school,” Michel sighed, his head hurting again as he pinched his nose. “I missed a lot of classes due to my part-time job. If I don’t make up enough credits, I’ll have to retake the year.”

Going to school means taking a beating.

Not going means failing the course, and that would mean a whole year of beatings!

Compared to that, going to school seems more reasonable.

Benny sincerely said, “Michel, you really are unlucky.”

Michel gave a half-smile, “Who says I’m not?”

This dog-shit life!

The poor kid and his friend sat at the table, feeling like even the donuts in front of them lost their flavor.

After a while, Benny suddenly had an idea and leaned over the table, whispering excitedly, “Michel, are you on good terms with that alien guy? I mean, the one at your house.”

Michel paused, his hand rubbing his head, recalling Simon’s face.

“Well... I guess we’re okay.”

“Well, that’s good!”

Benny’s eyes sparkled with excitement, “Let him protect you! I checked the data—didn’t you know that Aunt Jasmine does this? Their NY police department has information on the lifestyle and details of all alien species. The meat-eating male bees from Pepejia Planet are really tough! He could definitely make Eric shut up!”

“……”

“So, how close are you two? Will he agree to protect you?”

“How close?”

“Yeah.”

Michel recalled their time together this week, his pale face reddening slightly as he picked up his tea cup, mumbling, “Well, we’ve had dinner together. He cooks, does my laundry, helps me shower and wash my hair, makes cakes, cuts fruit, makes desserts, gives me massages, buys me nutrition supplements and medicine—”

“WHAT! You two sleep together at night?!”

Benny couldn’t contain his shock and yelled loudly.

The lively dessert shop suddenly went silent for a second, and then several pairs of eyes shot teasing glances at their table.

Michel: “…”

Benny: “…”

The black-haired youth’s expression was emotionless. Slowly, he covered his face, his pale skin flushed red, as if it had been sunburned.

“We share the bed because it’s not big enough, so he sleeps under me and I sleep on top of him.”

Benny: “…” I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have asked.
